What I needed for my particular project. I'm updating an old Army footlocker that was my grandfathers and has sentimental value. It currently is covered w/ contact paper, but I'm changing to upholstered top with sides veneered w/ mahogany.

I have a drawer face that is S curved, Will this work with the grain horizontal ?
Walter on Mar 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I used this veneer to replace veneer on an entry door for a client that had delaminated because of moisture damage. I applied the veneer using Titebond II on both surfaces, letting the surfaces dry, and then ironed them on using a brown paper to protect the wood from scorching. Your success will be determined buy the amount the curve and your ability to heat the curved surface. Rockler also carries a veneer that has a 3M adhesive already on it. I used this product on another door on the same house just to try different methods. This later method make work better on a curved surface using a veneer roller to press it on.
is this material actual wood or a plastic?
Phillip C on Jan 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Philip, This product is actual wood veneer with a thin paper backing. I needed to reface a drawer front from a 1940's cedar chest that I restored for my daughter. It worked out perfectly. Hope this helps and good luck.
I have a table leaf I need to replace the mahogany veneer to match the other 2 leaves. Would you recommend the peel and stick veneer or veneer you apply the glue to?
Amy G on Aug 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I bought the peel and stick. I worked perfect. The only potential issue is it is so sticky that you get one chance to get it right. You cannot move the veneer around. When I buy more I will buy the sticky back veneer.
What is the thickness?

Can this product be used to reface kitchen cabenits?
Chris W on Nov 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I've used these Veneers for make new cabinets. I would imagine you could use veneer for refacing. Fitting could be challenging at the edges coming together at different angles. I've used veneers only on inside corners. If you have face frames I would use 1/8 or1/4 prefinished plywood on the frames as it would easier to produce accurate cuts on a table saw. The door are bit more challenging. I would just buy new fronts and hang doors pre finished.
Can u use it on steps?
