Worked fine
I purchased this router bit to make a new rocker for a porch rocking chair that had broken after taking flight during a high wind. After making the pattern out of Masonite, I saw that I did not have a long enough pattern bit so checked a number of sources and decided upon the Rockler offering. It did a great job on the 1 1/2" tight grain black oak that I had chosen for the project.

Is it possible to sharpen the pattern flush trim bit? Mine went dull after about 25 cuts.
Mike W on Feb 2, 2017
Does this bit create a lot of tearout or any at all?
Peter on Aug 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you use it on end grain it will have some tear out (amount depends on species) To avoid tear out add a back up block on piece being routered.
