This fan replaced a smaller version...
This fan replaced a smaller version I installed last year. The old fan was quieter, but did not last as intended. This fan is loud, but moves the air.

Overall I was happy with the product, however the noise generated through vibration was a little loud. We were able to stop the noise by adding a rubber washer under the fan. Using a substrate like MDF instead of plywood would have also helped keep the noise from vibration down.

Second unit purchased. First unit lasted about 18 months running 24/7, then just stopped. Noise was not a problem in my application, as the fan is on a 3/4" melamine cabinet in the utility room furnace is much louder than this fan. Even on the bench - I didn't think it was all that loud about 50 db. It's OK for what it is - wish it lasted longer. You MUST clean the filter occasionally every 2-3 months. If this one fails - I'll probably look for a more reliable replacement.

It is not too bad air...
It is not too bad air fan but too much overload it with staff.1)The frame made from alumenam.I think the plastic will be bater for instalation.2)Too many items come with air fan.I think it should be made in two(2) types "Intake" and "Outtake" and depend to this it should come with air fan grill or filter.3)The wire too thick.I replaced with #18 regular wires and it workes good and easy for instalation desine but total its OK.

We use these in server cabinets...
We use these in server cabinets and are fine regarding loudness and performance, but they do seem to burn out a lot. That could be an issue with a lack of air flow getting to the fan, though. However, these are not recommended for use in a home theater. I unfortunately did this at home and it is much too loud. Vibration of the mounting board does amplify the lower frequencies. If you don't care about the noise, these are fine; otherwise look elsewhere.
