Woodworking Experience:
Had to drill holes inside a finished corner cabinet that was shipped without holes on 2 sides. 94 cabinets on this project. Perfect.
The assembly was as others have stated. You need to take some time and modify the assembly holes for the included hardware to work.
My box was missing one of the side bars. I have not had the opportunity to get back to the store, but I have never had a problem they didn’t handle perfectly.

Woodworking Experience:
No assembly instructions in the box. Not brain surgery, but a definite sequence. Called Rockler and they sent me some. Could be better instructions. Your old Rockler drill bit won't work. Need to order the one that goes with this jig. The new drill bit sticks a little, but I attribute that to being new. Otherwise works great.

My partner and I had a job of making a book case 7' high and 8' long with 15 shelves. The Pro jig worked great and we were done with all the holes in a half hour...The bit is the problem. It's okay but on some 3/4" play like Birch chips out the edge of the hole. We tried everything we could to prevent that with no luck. We both think a forstner bit may work better. Another thing is the depth of the bit. It should be made to adjust at least a 1/16" either way due to some clips lengths are not all the same for depth.. Other then that the unit is great and saves lots of time...

I'm building cabinets for walk-in pantry and master closet. I was looking for a jig that would help me make sure the shelf holes line up. The description says it comes with a storage case and I really like that option. Storage for my tools is very important to me.

I am building bookshelves and have rabbited a 3/4" dado on the back (the side that will be up against the wall) so there will be a nailing rail. With the 3/4" dado the jig now has the drill holes at about 5/8" from the edge and I can't see any way to make up for the needed offset without a major modification. Any ideas?

BEST ANSWER: Would it work to rip a small amount of wood off the shelf width?
This jig has pin holes set back exactly 1-7/16" (37mm) from each edge. I need my holes set back further - about 4" from the front edge - because I am building closets that sit behind sliding doors. My sections are 15-1/2" deep and the closet is 24" deep so I'm trying to roughly center the rods in the hanging space I have. If I drill holes 37mm from the front edge, then the hangers will hit my sliding doors. Any suggestions other than modifying my sections to not be 15-1/2" deep?
Dennis E on Dec 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I've run into the same situation before and the cure is very easy. Remove the 3 bolts holding the black metal stops from only one side and remove the stop. Now you can set that side exactly where it is needed. Make sure that the stop on the other side is against your workpiece and then tighten the stops for the slide where you want to drill.
Given the review, why would anyone buy this?
A shopper on Apr 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I Didn't read the reviews, but I just built what amounts to a residential library with it. 23 bookcases with five rows of holes, two on the sides and one down the center. We drilled 4715 holes with it in total and it worked great.
what kind of case does it have? bag or hard case?
J. F on Dec 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No case, no bag, but it works great and as long as you have a safe place to keep it so it doesn't get dinged up or parts lost, it's a good tool.
