Easiest option for simple framing projects.
It couldn't be easier to use. Although I need to use a mallet to tap it in because I don't have the wrist strength to just push it into oak wood, it's solid and simple.

Exactly as advertised
Had a tough time using just my hand to push the vnails into the hard frames, but using a mallet was perfect. It is a little pricey for what it is, but I would definitely recommend it if you do even a few frames.

Makes inserting v-nails simple
the PushMaster tool has a magnetic pin that holds the V-nails in place before inserting. The tool itself is easy to handle and sturdy enough you can use a mallet for those tough jobs.

Works well
I've been using this with pine and haven't had an issues. The joints line up well (using a strap clamp) and are very strong.

The only thing I can say negative is that it can be difficult to push a v-nail in depending on the frame itself. You can fatigue your arm/hand depending on how much you need to assemble.

The reason why I gave four stars instead of five is that I think it is a little pricey for what you get.

Works great when used with the band clamp and glued joint. A little pricey but appears to be a solidly built tool.

This tool worked great for inserting the v-nails at the corners. With the addition of a little glue at the corners and the v-nails, I was impressed at the sturdiness of the picture frame. Inserting the flexipoints was a little more difficult, many of them bent. Need to apply the correct angle and a quick blow with a hammer to get the flexpoints inserted, and even then, some of them bent.

Does not work well with harder woods. For softwood, it works great. Fast and easy.

Never done much in the way of framing. Starting off with a kit seemed like a better idea than individual components.

Wanted an easy and reliable method of making perfect joints. I have not had very good luck with this.

I will use this to install V-nails at joints in picture frames. This also allows the insertion of V-nails at corner braces in picture frames that require additional braces at corners.

Hello, I have a frame master push master and have lost the spring and cylider inserts. Can I purchase these? please; I really need my tool to work for me
valerie g on May 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I guess I would contact the manufacturer if it were me.
What is the size of the V-nail included ?

BEST ANSWER: 1/4" and 1/2"
does this work well for hard woods such as mahogony?
bobnaumchik b on Feb 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: From my experience using this, the harder the wood the less it works. For hardwoods, I use a spline joinery.

Personally, I would not recommend this for hardwoods. It is a valuable, fast and easy tool for softwoods and I do use it for this.
Does this include the clamp to go around the frame and tighten corners while inserting vnails or is this just the tool?
Kim S on Mar 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Kim, the kit I purchased did not include the band clamp with plastic corners. I picked that up at Home Depot.
So you just glue the frame together in a clamp than take it out of the clamp than just use this to push the vnails in? Does the frame need to be clamped while the vnails are being pushed in?
matt s on Oct 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No you do not need to clamp the corners together while pushing in the vnails a good wood glue will hold it in place. The nails will reinforce the glue. I use mine all the time.
Does this tool produce better results than a name-brand "Pro" joiner?
Ken E on Nov 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Dont know if its better but this is a sturdy tool that works well. No issues driving the fasteners. Im not making enough picture frames to justify the extra cost. This one is good enough for my purpose.
