Great and easy clamping system
I use these all the time and they work great. This system takes the place of 4 or more awkward bar clamps and they prevent the miter from slipping. Easy to get even pressure with these clamps.

Ridiculously easy to use.
Ridiculously easy to use. I’ve tried everything short of a massive clamping machine and could never get the reliable precision you want for decorative frames. Constantly sanding and refinishing until now. This product works exactly as advertised.

I did wonder why they supplied the eight rods—was there an issue with stripping the threads?—but it turns out these are for use with the nuts to accommodate larger frames.

Bought one last month and now getting a second for higher throughput.

Quick release framing clamp
this is the best framing clamp I have found however there are other brands that probably work just as well. The main secret is to be sure your frame parts are cut exactly alike and that your miters are true.

why are there eight rods?
willieoneeye on Dec 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: For a small items you want to clamp, you just use 4 of the regular length rods; for big items (longer than a single rod on a side) you connect the rods in pairs with the provided "connector nuts" and this allows you to clamp larger items.
Do the quick release knobs allow you to slide them into position before tightening them down, or do they need to be screwed all the way along the threaded knobs?
Tony101 on Jun 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You can slide the knobs all the way down the threaded rods to the corner blocks then engage the threads.
Are the corner pieces metal or plastic?
Masood H on Mar 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The set I have is all metal. NO plastic. I love this set and still have it in a case I built just for it.
What kind of materials are the corner nuts made of?
jerry s on Jan 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Both the corner and the extension nuts appear to be brass. The corners are aluminum, I think. Good question.
Is there room to shoot a pin nail in without taking clamps off?
Bjess on Aug 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Not unless your frame is fairly thick. Corners are pretty wide. Approximately an inch. Not sure of the dimensions, but Rockler should be able to answer that question.
do the corner pieces allow clearance to wipe off glue?
josh i on Jul 31, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Top and bottom yes. But I wait until the glue is dry, usually overnight, and carefully use a small chisel to remove the glue, then sand. I found wiping the glue leaves a film that the stain has a hard time covering.
