Rockler Raised Panel Router Bit - 1-1/4" Dia x 1-5/8" H x 1/2" Shank
Vertical panel raising bits concentrate more of their weight toward the center of the bit, reducing strain on the motor, and allowing you to spin the bit at higher RPMs. This means you can raise panels with an ordinary 2 HP router mounted in a router table. Precision machining paired with a sturdy 1/2" shank ensure smooth, chatter-free cuts. Note: vertical panel raising bits cannot be used for cathedral-style or arched doors.

Works fine. Router base would not accommodate a horizontal bit and this is a good workaround.

Vertical raised panel router bit
Leery of the dangers of traditional horizontal raised panel bits I was happy to have found your vertical bit readily available at my local Rocker dealer in Orange. I have made 5 raised panels from African Mahogany and all the cuts are clean and with very little tear-out experienced. I highly recommend this bit.

Are more dimensions available for this bit? Need to know the length of the ogee. From the listed dimensions I can figure out the depth of cut at the widest is 3/8 inch but what is the length between the end of the bit and where it goes flat along dimension B. By looking at the picture it appears to be about 1 inch. Is this correct?
