Easy Best Adjuster Knob
In a certain application, the round knob with finger grips was difficult to use and sometimes would result in pain through my hand into the wrist. The ratchet knob is much easier to use due to the leverage advantage it exerts. As a bonus, I do not experience pain in my hand and wrist with this knob.

good price, good quality
I replaced the thumb skew on my lathe tool rest with one of these. It is perfect. I get plenty of torque and I can orient the handle down so it is out of the way.

simplify attaching and removing
Bought these to replace a set that was missing when I purchased the tool. These were longer than necessary and I used washers to shim. Once that was accomplished they work very well and were resonable priced compared to buying from the tool manufacturer.

I use them for fixtures in my woodworking shop and appreciate the ratcheting action to get the handle out of the way. Rockler has always been prompt with deliveries.

I need a little bit longer thread for the ratchet assembley so I can use it on my lathe for my shopsmith . Can I use a different type of bolt, say a all thread rod ?
Glen T on Apr 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hey Glen,

I do not know if you can remove the threaded stud. However, after I saw your question...I thought I recalled a solution that might work for you. Look up the Ratchet Lever Knob 5/16", Insert 18 tpi, Item #: 90910 or the 3/8" version, 16 tpi, Item: 34251. Both of these take their respective size threaded insert on the handle end...the length, diameter, and tpi of the protruding stud would be up to you...and probably some strong Loctite to keep the insert from coming out would be in order, too. Hope this helps!

Will either of these knobs fit a delta hollow chisel mortiser model 14-650 Type 2 fence ?
Paul J on Apr 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately the thread type is not the same. I bought this for that exact purpose and it did not work. I'm going to look into re-tapping the thread in the mortiser.
What is the length of the threaded portion of this item?
Chris M on Nov 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: About an inch to inch and a half as I recall. I bought it to replace a broken one on my Delta planer (couldn't get the part from delta), but it was too short for that mission.
will these locking handles 90902 or 34277 fit the Rikon 70-100 mini lathe motor lock ?
Jimmy S on Sep 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: these come in two sizes, 15/16"-18TPI and 3/8"-16TPI. I don't know the size or thread on the Rikon 70-100 motor lock
