This ratchet lock is designed for use on glass doors and fits bypass doors up to a thickness of 1/4''. Designed for overlaps of 3/4'' to 3-3/8''.

The ratchet lock's barrel stops the door from sliding open until the lock is opened and removed from the bar. Each lock comes with 2 keys and are keyed alike.

BEST ANSWER: Not very, it doesn’t have to be. Just have to keep the unit in place.
