Bed rail fasteners
I used these to build a queen size bed. They made installing the bed rails easy to install, and the mattress supports do not shift or fall out.
The center support brackets work great to keep mattress supports in place.

Legs supports were great
Used two of the center legs to support a queen sized split box spring. Although hardware was supplied for a wood slat, my slats were metal and I made a simple base for each support.

Excellent product, which supports the middle of our queen seize bed. Easy to install and Rockler's service and delivery time are superb!

Have used two of these from Rockler now on king sized beds and they work well, easy to install. Good product--and I appreciate the quick response on shipments.Editor's note: Reviewer is referring to #68429 center legs in this offer, not the #68486 bed rails. The #68486 bed rails will be too short for use on either queen or king size. #68486 is used for full size or twin size beds.

Please note that the slats are not included. Also, there was no [bolt]hardware included. I was disappointed because I was expecting [wood slats].

I only got the middle support components (2 of them) to protect the older head/foot boards from the stresses of having a larger mattress on an 1885 piece of historic furniture.

Can a wood side rail be attached to the outside of the steel rails? I.e., are there clearance holes and are the rails structurally adequate?
Steve C on Jun 17, 2017
I need bed rails
For a kindle antique bed. The rails attach by sliding in. There are no hooks on the brackets that are there so the original rails just slide into the bracket from the top of the bracket. I need 4 since there’s a footboard?

I have the headboard and footboard but need the side rails to connect the head to the foot. Is it possible to purchase a complete side rail for each side?

Can I use these for a top bunk (twin) and add slats?
Heidi S on Jan 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Maybe, here's what I think. The rails are plenty strong enough to support the weight required for a top bunk. However, slats are usually used to support a box spring which in turn supports the mattress. I think you would be better served using a cut to size piece of 3/4" thick plywood to support the mattress instead of slats.
I need queen length side bed rails that hook into the bed posts. Does anyone know where I can start looking?

BEST ANSWER: Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, your local FB buy & sell and FB buy nothing pages would be your best bets.
Can these rails be attached by bolts to a brass head board and brass foot board?
Ellen K on May 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: As long as you can have matching holes drilled into the headboard and footboard. They would need also to be all the way through so you could put a nut on the bolt.
