Dust Right® 4'' Dia. Expandable Hoses

Rockler Dust Right® Expandable Hoses are made of an amazingly elastic, flexible polymer material that can stretch up to 7X its original length for convenient cleanup in distant corners, or to attach to a power tool. Once you're finished with it, it collapses into a compact stack for storage. Thanks to its flexibility, it slinks with ease around obstacles without kinking or binding. This improved hose weighs 30% less than previous versions, and is offered in a blue translucent color. Ideal for use in small shops, and with small dust collectors where a single hose is swapped among multiple machines and cleaning implements.

An optional accessory, the Dust Right® Swivel Fitting (#21476, sold separately), releases tension and eliminates twists in 4'' dust hose, providing greater mobility.

I really like this hose
I have a very crowded shop and everything is on wheels. I purchased this second Dust Right hose so I can expand the distance to collect dust and debris. The first one made it easy to clear after use so I wasn't tripping over it. However I have added more equipment and can no longer reach all of it so bought this to fix problem. And it really did!

Nice product for my application
Very flexible works as described. Cut a short section about 5 inches compressed for my lathe dust hood that slides and articulates. This products flexibility worked in this application were other "flexible" hoses are way too stiff.

Great product
What a difference it has made. I put on my cyclone and got plenty of suction from this hose. I was using corrugated drain hose before.
Does everything that was advertised. I’m going to get the shortest one to go from the top of the cyclone to the collector itself next

Great space saver
Works as advertised. Expands easily to max length, and contracts back for staorage quickly. Used daily since I've receiving and it still is hold up nicely. Paired with the dust right strap brackets, it stores nicely on the dust collector cart when not in use. Then can be easily deployed to any corner of my garage shop. Solid hose!

Do you still have to ground this hose to your collector? I have heard that it is okay not to because of the 4" size?
Mick R. on Jan 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have not noticed any static buildup from mine.
How about static charge? My system is grounded for the entire length from the dust collector to the blast gate. Will this hose build up a charge? -=Dave=-
David E on Mar 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There is a spiral wire in this hose, so connecting it to your ground system on each end will maintain the ground continuity throughout.
Is this hose smooth inside or does it have ridges that can cut down on air flow?
Butch on Jan 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There are ridges on the inside as well as the outside, the ridges don't seem to cut down the air flow.
I use this with a dust collector and move it to my table saw, router and planer.
It works very well this way as I have a small garage shop.
If I mount this so it hangs from a port on my garage's ceiling is the hose's retraction strong enough to pull itself up when not in use?
David E on Feb 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, once the suction from your collector is shut off the hose will drop unless you have something to hold the shape. The hose is great, use it all over the shop but it will only hold shape with a stand or hanger to keep it in place
Is This hose "left handed" like the other anti-static hose you sell?
Denton J on Feb 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure what you mean by "Is the hose left Handed". If you are referring to the direction that the spring wraps around it. Looking at the open end of the hose the spring wraps towards you in a counter-clockwise direction. Hope this helps.
Is this a right handed hose, compatible with the Rockler keyed bridge hose clamps?
Kelly M on Jan 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is. The bridge clamps work very well with this hose. The clamps line up with the wire and lie flat and secure.
Is it easy to cut this hose?
William C on Dec 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It is very easy to cut. I used a utility knife to cut the plastic and wire cutters to cut the wire.
How about static shocks created by moving sawdust?
Robert C on Dec 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I use 4" pipe as my main trunk line, then run this hose to each machine. I have never had a problem with static shock whether I am running my planer, jointer, table saw, etc.. We have trued it to see, and have never gotten a shock from it. Hope this helps
Does this hose have a spiral wire along the entire length, from one end to the other? I want to install this on a CNC and need solid grounding to prevent static buildup.
Robert on Nov 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You its spiral wire the entire length. Don’t need grounding on it.

Bob Jones
Where is this hose made?
Lawrence B on Jun 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This product is Made in the USA
Will this hose work with quick connectors? I tried another collapsible hose that shrinks up when I turn the vac on and it pulls itself off the collector.
John W on Apr 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes it works very well with all the different connectors that I have used. No problems with any of them
how to attach the flex hose to 4" sch 40 PVC pipe?
Joe M on Sep 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I believe those connections exist but I haven't seen them on Rockler's site. You might check a home improvement store for a rubber coupling that uses band aid clamps. Those give you a little wiggle room. Literally.
Is there a 4 in wand you can put on the end?
