I used the first one on my Hammet A3/31 jointer/planer and it fit very well and works great. The machine is almost 600lbs but moves around with ease. My recent purchase will fit my Minimax SC2 sliding panel saw. The extension kit was key to making this work. Top work, Rockler.

Heavyweight Shop Ordance
The base blasts away the obstacles that have defeated my efforts to move my Vega Bowl lathe in and our of my shop. With this base I can push my nearly 600lb lathe up and over a 3/4" concrete lip with ease and safety. And the locking wheels firmly secure the lathel. It is a well made, well designed product that will work for years.

Good Decision
Tried one for a piece of equipment in my work shop/lab that gets in my way occasionally. Moves easily, wheels lock and base keeps it steady even though the machine is as tall as it is. They are expensive to be sure, but my entire lab is going to be mobile. Urethane wheels roll easily and quietly.

I order this in june of 2012,I would only get my table saw out if I realy needed it ,now I move it out just to cut one strip if needed.I have an older powermatic table saw with 68 inch rails on it and it is very very heavy,my wife is about 108lbs and she can roll this around my garage over sawdust and chips with no problem at all.this unit maybe a lot of money but it is worth every penny.I have nothing bad to say about this base, also I do not make projects just once a year,Ihave made most of our furniture, cabinets, floor and door trim, furniture for the kids, ect. so the saw is used constantly, only now it's not a back breaker.buy this.I kept forgetting to write this review but now I have,so if your thinking about a mobile base buy it you will not be sorry.

Well Worth It
I purchased this base for my new table saw over 2 yrs ago. It is still working great! I was concerned about the cost and longevity of any mobile base with 600 lbs of dead weight on it, but this one can handle it. I periodically move the saw around and it still rolls without problems - no flat spots in the wheels and it rolls over small debris on the floor. I liked it so much that I purchased another one for my homemade router cabinet - overkill considering the much lighter weight.

Item arrived in a sturdy box...
Item arrived in a sturdy box on 7 Aug 13. Set it up on the 8th. Placed my Jet 6" long bed jointer on it. Previously, this tool had been placed on a mobile frame with 2" wheels and was very difficult to move around. It also left marks on the floor. The mobility of this tool on the Rockler mobile base with the large wheels is just amazing. I'm ordering another one for my bandsaw.

I got this to go with...
I got this to go with a Jet jjp-12 jointer planer for my small shop. The shop has a very uneven floor and other mobile bases were both flimsier and much more likely to bottom out. This is simply amazing in how well it works with the 530 pound jointer/planer.

One of the best mobile bases...
One of the best mobile bases I've seen in a long time. Well worth the money. Here's a bit of advice to save you time and trouble- if you need to purchase the extension kits to accommodate a larger machine you should do so. I thought I could use my own steel to accomplish that task and it wasn't the same thing and I ended up purchasing extensions from Rockler. While they may look like just plain flat steel they are in reality hardened and rolled with just a slight curvature that makes them stiffer.

I was amazed how easily I...
I was amazed how easily I could push around my Delta Unisaw (vintage 1976, 400+ Lbs) on the rough concrete floor of my shop. I just bought another one for the 17" bandsaw and now we'll see how it does with about 600 Lbs. on it. Based on what I have experienced so far, I would say no problems. Simplicity in design, large wheels, fit, finish, and overall quality are all excellent. You get what you pay for. Far better that the Shop Fox bases I have been using.

Why did you choose this?
Rockler Store
I have an older Craftsman table saw that has heavy, heavy table parts. The legs have always struck me as flimsy and the wheels are hard to use. Thus, this sounds like an ideal replacement. Since two of the saws legs are farther apart than 28", it appears that I need an extension package.

I saw this in the Indianapolis Rockler store and after rolling it back and forth a few times I realized it was a great quality item and looks cool too.

The larger wheels should roll and steer better under the weight of the tools

I have a Shop Fox W1669 benchtop radial arm drill press. I need to make it floor mobile and think your mobile floor base, with an extension kit, will work. But...I need to raise the height of the drill press to a usable level. Do you have any ideas? Thanks, Dave.
Dave O on Jun 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: First, this base is awesome. I can easily move a 500lb table saw with 1 finger. You will want to bolt the drill press onto a table and put that into the mobile base. You might make your own from parts (http://www.rockler.com/how-to/rockler-steel-shop-stands/) or make your own. It may be a little overkill for a 100lb machine, but the base is the best. Good luck.
I would be using this for my Delta Unisaw with a 54 inch fence and extension table. It seems to me that the table saw base would need to be supported by four casters as well as two more casters for the extension. Does the Extension Stretcher Set come with two additional casters? Or, is the entire assembly supported by just the casters at each corner?
DHS82 on Feb 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The extension set does not came with more caters as it is simply long extension bars, not more corners to mount wheels. I have this base on my jointer, but for my delta unisaw with 54" thank ext I chose the factory mobile base which is a custom fit and the way to go.

BEST ANSWER: I have a Delta cabinet saw with the table extension. I cut a 3/4" plywood insert for the mobile base and set the saw on top of that. Works just fine.
I have a pwermatic 64b tablesaw. Do I need an extension kit and if so which would be best?
James H on Dec 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I own a model 66 cabinet saw green from 1966 it fits perfectly and you can move it around with one hand. Not familiar with a 66 b you will have to measure the foot print of the saw and decide which extension id best for you
will this fit a powermatic 66ta cabinet saw?
