Rockler Clamp-It Clips, 4-Packs

Slips over the top edges of any two panels, holding them at a 90° angle while you drive the nails or screws.

Item #

Lining up panels at a 90° angle while you drive nails or screws can be an exercise in frustration. Pieces tend to shift around, and your fingers are often too close to the business end of the nailer for comfort. That's where the Rockler Clamp-It Clips provide a welcome helping hand. They slip over the top corner of any two panels, holding them in perfect alignment while you drive the nails, screws or apply clamping pressure. They are available for two stock thicknesses: 1/2'' and 3/4''. The 1/2'' Clips are useful for drawer and small box construction, and also for cabinets with thinner 1/2'' casework, while the 3/4'' clips are ideal for cabinet construction with typical 3/4'' panel stock. For larger open cabinets and boxes, use the Clamp-It® Corner Clamping Jig (#58918, sold separately) to secure the bottom corner, and to prevent the panels from tipping.

  • Holds the corners of boards and panels in perfect alignment while you drive fasteners
  • Makes cabinet, drawer and box assembly easier and more accurate
  • Choose clips for either 1/2'' (9/16'' max) or 3/4'' (13/16'' max) stock thicknesses
  • Secure the bottom corner with a Clamp-It® Corner Clamping Jig (#58918, sold separately), fitted with an Assembly Square (#29190, sold separately)
  • Smooth polypropylene clips slide easily over the edge of the panel, but won't mar the surface
  • Clips nest together neatly for compact storage and easy transport to the assembly table
  • Corner openings provide access for nail guns and drills
  • Large tab provides gripping area for clip removal
  • Reinforced design for superior strength

Great Product
These are a great help; they are a simple way to have another set of hands. Quicker, easier, and less expensive then a set of long clamps to hold assembly work together. They feel sturdy and have a nice, positive grab onto the boards when you snap them in place.

Simple idea that worked perfectly
Used these to make a flip top table (for my sander/router table) and for dresser drawers. Makes alignment super simple without having to use clamps. Great price too.

Woodworking Experience:
No clamp but useful
Honestly I bought these on a whim. One of those, they look cool, always looking to have all kinds of woodworking tools. Although I am happy I bought them.

Obviously these will not replace actual clamps, they won't tighten up your joints and hold them for screws or glue, but I have found them to be useful.

I found them useful for pre-assembly. To mock-up up all the parts to see if everything fits okay and all is well with your project.

Even though they will not replace clamps I was surprised at how tightly they fit on 3/4" plywood. They don't hold the joint tight, but they do hold the parts in place.

Like I said, wouldn't use them to hold boards for glue up or putting in something like pocket screws because they don't hold that tightly.

Made of quite heavy plastic (or some version of it), so I am sure they will out last me.

Over all, very happy with my purchase and I need to get more soon.

I used these to hold together a large cabinet during a difficult glue-up. They made it much easier. Again, Rocker has come up with a great innovation to solve a common problem.

Excellent Product
I use these to square up and align drawers during construction and it works like a charm ... if they remove the little nib on top it works even better... i sometimes use them on the bottom also

Great the first time used
Great concept, but brittle material. On my second use, one of them fell to the ground from my mft table and broke almost in half rendering the jig useless. Tried to glue together with CA glue, but it did not stick. Still have three left which I hope they don’t break. Would give 5 stars if this was made out of a more durable plastic or rubber.

Do they work well for glue joints?
Francis Allen R on Jan 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: They are best for assembly. They are not clamps, but they hold everything in place while setting clamps or straps.
Will they work with mitered corners?
Gaylon H on Feb 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The corners are exposed so you can align miters. Read above, they don't apply clamping force. They only apply force to the panel for alignment; no pressure on the joint itself. They would be good to hold four corners in alignment and then put on a band clamp.
How loose are the panels with metric plywood?
Lawrence V on Feb 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The groove is more of two pressure fit bevels/culls. They apply pressure in the center. The reading in the center of 1/2" model is: 29/64" or .4575 mm. I"m guessing the 3/4" models are similar.
Will the 1/2” clamp work on 5/8” plywood?
Raymond T on May 11, 2019
Does one set work, or do you find it best to have a set for the top and bottom of each corner?
Christopher E on Oct 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: When connecting two vertical pieces of wood, I like to "secure" the top and bottom edges to maintain the proper alignment. I have found the hard way, the wood pieces can easily move out of alignment during the securing process if the pieces are not properly secured together. I like to use Rockler's "Corner Clamping Jig" and their "Assembly Square" for securing the wood pieces at the bottom and their "Clips" at the top. Doing this helps to ensure the proper alignment for securing the two pieces together. I have not tried using the Clips at the bottom as I believe the Corner Clamping Jig, with the Assembly Square, is just at maintaining the alignment of the boards since they are clamped in place. This is especially important, in my opinion, if you need to move the "assembly" around while connecting the pieces together due to a lack of access when assembling a box for example.

are they spring loaded?
jeffrey on Jan 30, 2020
BEST ANSWER: no, they're not "spring loaded" but they do have a "friction fit'. That's kinda like "spring loaded". The friction fit does a great job supporting the panel if it's not too tall. With taller panels you can use one on top and another on the bottom to provide good support.
Will these work with mitered corners?
Sarge on Jul 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Haven't tried it but it should. They aren't clamps, just a second or third set of hands to hold stuff until, you can get a clamp on it.
do they come in 1-1/8 and 1-1/4 material thicknesses?
Butch on Nov 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No, they only come in 3/4" & 1/2" as of now. Maybe Rockler will eventually make them in more sizes.
Where are these made? Are they made in the United States?
Buy Made in USA on Apr 7, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The package I have indicates Taiwan.
can i pay by transfer?do you have account number?
