Our premium grilling tools are something that need to be ''handled'' to fully appreciate. That's because...well...you get to turn your own handles to whatever length your hand desires, but also because the heft, fit and finish are truly first-class. The sturdy spatula will hold firm under the weight of the thickest steaks, and has a nice, straight leading edge for flipping and scraping, plus a serrated edge on one side for cutting. The basting brush has tangle-free bristles made from silicone for heat-resistance and easy washing. Finally, the tongs feature thick, rugged teeth that clamp on firmly, plus curved jaws that can scoop under the food when you want to cradle it more gently.

Features:

  • Made from top-quality food-grade brushed 304 stainless steel
  • Long length keeps your hands away from the heat—you choose the handle length for the spatula and brush
  • Serrated edge on spatula for cutting into meat to check for doneness
  • Loop caps on spatula and brush for hanging on your grill
  • Tongs have a slot for tying on a lanyard

Good kit
Overall a great kit. I am not crazy about the way the split handles attach to the tongs. Even after following the instructions closely the epoxy I used did not hold the wood to the metal, as the metal was not flat. I wound up drilling and taping the metal and installed a couple of machine screws.

Great gifts!
Enjoyed making these as gifts. I made three sets. Not difficult. Getting the two handles to look the same was important. I made one set with wipe-on Poly. The others wit a good wax finish. They were well received.

Good grilling tools
I would recommend this grill tool kit as a project for someone who likes to grill a lot, it's very heavy duty stainless steel, a little pricey, but okey on sale. easy to make the handles and looks great.

Excellent Kit
Easy to make. The tools are heavy duty -- the spatula has the heft of a solid small axe. The only thing that might be a problem is the baster which is made similarly to the glue brushes Rockler sells. Keep the silicone bristles off the hot grill and on the meat and it wont be a problem. Makes a great high-quality gift. I used the shedua blanks and they turned easily and finished nicely. I suggest using nails to line up the handles on the tongs when you insert the pins. Also, painter's tape over the steel parts of the tongs will decrease the nicks and scratches on tongs when inserting the pins.

Turned out Nice
The grills tools are heavy duty and I like that but so is the price. I was expecting a little higher quality for the price but I made do. Used Blood wood for the brush, Curly Maple for the tongs, and Padauk for the flipper. Brother-in-law really liked it for his birthday!

Great potential
The spatula and basting brush are high quality and ideal turning projects. The tongs were frustrating. I was unable to secure a wooden handle without the end popping loose when the tongs flexed in use. I scored the materials and used West Systems epoxy with the provided 1/8' pins. No joy. I have yet to figute out how to reliably secured the handles to the tongs.
