Rockler High Pressure Laminate Router Table Package with Triton Plunge Router, Steel Stand and 4-Piece Accessory Kit
Rockler High Pressure Laminate Router Table Package with Triton Plunge Router, Steel Stand and 4-Piece Accessory Kit

This combo package includes everything you need to tap into the incredible versatility of the router table. Foremost among the included goodies is the Triton 3-1/4 HP Plunge Router, a router that essentially doubles as a router lift when table-mounted—so easy are the above table adjustments. Also included is our 4-Piece Router Table Accessory Kit, with a dust port and (3) featherboards, which firmly hold your work as you feed it past the cutter. And of course the foundation of the package is our High-Pressure Laminate Router Table, which includes a steel stand made from 1/8'' thick steel, and a 3/8'' thick phenolic router plate for excellent stability and a naturally low-friction surface. The table is 1-1/8'' thick MDF, which is extremely dimensionally stable, and is surfaced with white HPL for visibility and durability. A combination miter track and universal accessory T-track runs the length of the table for mounting featherboards, stops and jigs. The included fence also has universal T-tracks, as well as an adjustable bit guard. Includes Router Plate C, which provides a perfect fit with the included Triton router, without the ''Swiss Cheese'' hole pattern of typical universal plates.

Features:

  • 3/8'' thick phenolic router plate offers good flatness, rigidity and low-friction sliding
  • Steel stand has adjustable feet for stability on uneven floors, and pre-drilled holes for adding a shelf and surround
  • 8-point plate leveling system with two locking points
  • 24'' x 32'' table for over five square feet of surface area
  • Dual track in table combines standard miter track with universal accessory track, which accepts 5/16'' T-bolts or 1/4'' hex bolts for custom made jigs and featherboards
  • Extruded aluminum fence backer provides a stiff, straight reference surface when routing
  • Fence backer features top-mounted universal T-track that accepts 5/16'' T-bolts, 1/4'' T-bolts, and 1/4'' hex bolts
  • Opening in fence is easily adjustable to accommodate large router bits
  • Ergonomic T-knobs for easy fence adjustment
  • Includes bit safety guard for safe routing
  • Includes our 4-Piece Router Table Accessory Kit, with a dust port and (3) featherboards

Package includes the acclaimed Triton TRA001 Plunge Router!

With its awesome power and suite of unique, user-friendly adjustments, the Triton TRA001 Dual-Mode Plunge Router more than deserves the praise it's been getting. Depth adjustments are a breeze with the unique ''winder handle'' - just squeeze the router's handle and turn to raise or lower, then use the micro-adjustment knob to dial in the final setting. You can also turn a dial to use the standard free-plunge adjustment. A turret system allows you to dial in two preset settings. Soft-start variable speed motor provides smooth, even power regardless of load. Bit changes are easy, one-wrench affairs, since the spindle lock automatically engages when the spindle is extended past the faceplate. No more skinned knuckles from juggling two wrenches in a cramped base. Whether in fixed mode or plunge mode, table-mounted or freehand, the Triton Dual-Mode Plunge Router is a pleasure to use. It even includes a multi-function fence that serves as an edge guide, circle cutter, and oversized base.

Features:

  • Fully enclosed plastic shielding provides maximum protection from chips, and aids in dust collection
  • Automatic spindle lock only engages when power switch safety cover is closed
  • Multi-function fence mounts easily with quick-fit pins
  • Side-mounted cooling vents keep sawdust away from motor housing when router is mounted in a router table
  • Removable height-winder handle allows above table depth adjustments
  • Removable plunge tension spring makes bit adjustments easy when the Triton TRA001 is table mounted
  • Brushes are easily accessible for service
  • Single spanner above table router bits changes
  • Soft Start & Variable Speed controls provide the ideal speed for all cutter types and therefore a superior cut

Laminate table/triton plunge router
Small shop so I put the router table on my Shopsmith tables with the router hanging down between. It was easy to attach the router and I love the built in router lift. The feather boards helped a lot and dust collection is the best of any of my tools.
I used it to put a round over bull nose on many pieces of composite lumber that are the top for my live steam railway. Next I want to try some joinery.
Excellent products and a good deal from Rockler.

Not comp[l;etely assembled yet
I have a lot of remodeling projects going now so my setup is very slow. The frame is put together but now plumb and square yet. I decided to back the board with another piece of 1-1/4" high pressure melomine.
so that will take some extra time to calculate just where to make the connections. I like the unit and think it dwill be a great addition to my shop. I'm looking forward to completing my remodeling projects and returning to the shop projects.

Router Package
I ordered this router package on line. Everything arrived on schedule and in good condition. Assembly instructions were meager but looking at the pictures on the various boxes and using some common sense allowed for putting things together. My major complaint is that the Triton instruction pamphlet has type font so small it is unusable if you don’t have perfect vision. I to go on-line, copy the manual and paste it into a word processing program, magnify it, and then print it. This really is a nuisance and shouldnt be necessary

Easy to Start Playing in the Shop
I bought this combination to replace a router and table I have had for over 20 years. The stand is simple to put together, the router is easy to mount. Make sure to position the router so you can reach the power switch, speed adjustment and position of the lift hole easily. As far as some of the other comments go, you have to take the base plate off the router, and then the screws fit the plate, no big deal. Yes you have to drill a hole in the plate, also no big deal, and I would rather not have a plate with a dozen holes in it designed to fit every router out there, when all I have to do is use my drill press to make the one hole I need, keeping the plate clean. In the two weekends since it arrived, I have used it to make hundreds of square feet of paneling, and everything is working perfectly.

Great combination table, stand, and router!
My new shaper table and Triton router work wonderfully together. The raised panels came out beautiful. I also have a Bosch shaper that I also like, but it just doesn't have the power to handle the 55mm bit needed to shape the door panels.

My first router table. I am a moderately skilled woodworker and I can’t imagine needing more than this. Very good quality. Router is awesome regarding built in height adjustability, soft start and auto lock for bit changing.

Wow...
So, this is my first router table. I opted for the package that came with the Triton router so I could then keep my 2 hp router for free hand use. Both the Triton router and the router table have been amazing. No more trying to clamp down pieces and rout awkwardly and probably unsafely. Plus this Triton router is a BEAST! Well put together, flawless adjustments and bit changes are a breeze.

Like I said, nothing to compare it against since it's my first table, but I love it. The dust collection and feather boards are a must as well. Dust collection with my shop vac is as close to 100% as I have ever seen on any tool.

I did have a little trouble getting the insert plate to sit perfectly flush with the table top even with the adjustment screws...I think it may be due to the fact that it only anchors in 2 corners and the Triton router is quite heavy. 1 of the unanchored corners kept sitting just a hair proud after tightening everything down. So, I finally just counter sunk my own screw in the offending corner and Voila!

Also gotta love that the table is already ready to mount a shelf or cabinet to for accessory storage. The wheel package and stand mounted switch are on my wishlist now.

Not bad
Purchased for a second table set up - leveling screws for router plate were missing, ended up spending quite a bit of time shimming to get the plate flat with the table - table legs are solid
Router is powerful has many useful features but will be dedicated to this table set up - down side I have trouble with the height adjustment locking knob, I've had to remove the router twice because the knob stuck and would not release maybe from the weight of the router? Start switch on router was a good safety idea but difficult to use. Gave it 4 stars because it works as advertised

Was planning on making my own table with a good but less powerful router. However, for about the same money I bought this model ready to go with a little more power!

I already have the Triton router. Can you buy just the table?
bissolaw on Jan 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes
Does the router come out of the plunge base so it can be used with a lift?
Jonathan F on Mar 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The Triton router is integrated with the plunge base and cannot be "removed" from the plunge mechanism. It has a built-in lift mechanism so there's no need for a lift. You can make all your adjustments from above with the included table crank mechanism. The router also has a unique design which allows for single-wrench bit changes.
Does it have a table mounted power switch? If no, how hard is it to turn the router on and off while it is mounted?
dan n on Mar 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This doesn't come with a table mounted power switch, but they do sell one for pretty affordable (like 29.99), that I think that I may grab. I haven't yet though as it is pretty easy to operate. The way I mounted mine puts the fine adjustment wheel right in front and the power switch around the back. But after just a few times operating, my hands find the power switch on the first time, every time.
I just bought this kit, and it seems like the router plate blocks the height adjuster for the router. Is there a different router plate i should get ? Do i just need to drill a hole ? Router place that I received with the kit is "Phenolic Router Place - Group C", UPC 33175-54074. This kit is pretty useless if I cannot adjust the router height from above the table.
jbird on Mar 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you have to drill a hole for the height adjuster. Just make sure that you drill it in the correct location. Mount the router on the plate, then mark the hole. Don't just place the plate on top of the router or you might have it upside down. Measure three times and drill once.
The Triton manual says to remove the plunge spring if mounting to a table. Is this necessary or is it only to prolong the life of the spring?
Dan D on Mar 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, Its just necessary, because the router has its own cranking system.
Does the table come with a starter pin or threaded to accept one?
Tim S on Mar 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes it comes with both , though may have to drill holes in table insert for tool raise and lower Triton router

Can you shim the outfeed fence so it can be used as jointer?
Chris D on Mar 13, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I am sorry but I have not tried to do that paticular operation. I am sure from using the Triton router that it has enough power to perform.
I like the package idea but i would need a larger 27x43" table top... could you offer that?
aaron f on Jan 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The table on this setup is sufficient for all of my requirements so far. If I needed additional table size I could easily use the same supports I use for large stock on my table saw.
Is there an external power switch that can mount on the table?
Louis D on Jul 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can add an after market switch underneath the router table and plug the router into that switch.
Is there an external power switch that can mount on the table?
Louis D on Jul 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the perfect external power switch Is also available from Rockler. It mounts on the front right leg near the top and holes for it are pre-drilled. It’s heavy duty, easy to reach or even “bump” or “off” —- it’s one of the best I’ve seen.

I mounted my Triton router to my Rockler Router table. I followed the instructions by removing the plunge spring and bottom plate to the router. I am having difficulty getting the router to plunge all of the way so that I can install the router bit. It will not plunge above the insert ring in order for me to tighten the collet to secure the router bit. What do I need to do?
James Y on Mar 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Need to ensure router power switch is off so cover that goes over switch is able to move to prevent router from coming on while changing bit then router will come up above ring.
Is a starting pin included with this table/?
Chuck T on Mar 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes it actually comes with insert portion of the table package and the one for the Triton router is the group B insert
