Rockler Retrofit Double Featherboard Kit

Engineered for safer and cleaner cuts.
Item #
23591
Rating:
92% of 100
A featherboard holds wood snug against a fence for a safer and cleaner cut when ripping, routing, drilling and more. Easily increase your featherboard height for vertical routing operations by adding this kit to your existing Rockler Table Featherboard (#53677, sold separately).

Don't have a Rockler Featherboard yet? Purchase the retrofit kit with our Rockler Table Featherboard (#53677, sold separately) to make a double featherboard for applying pressure at the table level and at the top of the router table fence 3" above the table.

serves it's purpose
Added this to a Rockler featherboard I already had. It fit and worked as expected. Used it the other day on the table saw to add a dado in door rail/stiles for a panel and the 1 1/2 in thick boards were held tight against the fence with no variation in the cut. For the money, this is an excellent way to add height to your featherboards.

Nice for router table
If you are cutting a rabbet on the router table and want the work piece on edge, this is a very nice safety device. Keeps pressure towards the fence and reduces the chance of kickback.

Where can I buy the long screws on the retrofit feather board? I want them to be about 4" in length. Thanks
Jackie J on Jan 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Using a these feather boards in a "T" track will allow a toilet flange bolt to be used. Using them in a miter slot requires expanding the slotted bar to the sides of the miter slot. The bolts supplied for this application ARE unique bolts. They are 5/16 - 18 thread and flat head is smaller than a standard flat head bolt, in addition there are 2 "wings" on the taper of the flathead that fit into the split of the bar that prevent the bolt from spinning when the knob is tightened.
Can you stack more than one for a taller featherboard?
Ted K on Sep 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, but you have to build an extension kit to make it higher. And make sure it's stable or it could be dangerous when you are sawing on the table saw.
what is the maximum travel for this feather board?
Woodrat on May 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Actual travel movement is 4-1/2". From the right edge of a miter slot, the ends of the featherboard extend *roughly* 1-1/8" to 5-1/2". If you already have the regular featherboard, this is the exact same piece, but with longer bolts and a spacer to connect the two featherboards. The featherboards themselves have no upper or lower designation; they are interchangeable.
will this work on a bosch router table t slots ?
