What is the height of the angled section of the 90ยบ bit, please?
Bart H on Dec 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: In a perfect world, anytime you have a 90-degree V-Bit, the depth will always be one-half of the diameter. The diameter is listed as 3/4"; so half of that is 3/8" (0.375") which would be the maximum depth you could get before the sides become parallel. The bit I measured was 0.005" wider than 3/4" D specification which resulted in a slightly deeper grove from 0.375" to about 0.400". With this Rockler brand bit, drilling any deeper than 0.400" will result is a parallel recess above the 90-degee V-cut.
