I liked the size of the base for stability and control. But verydisappointed that the holes did not come close to fitting my Skil router. The holes I had to drill put one right on the edge of the plexiglass. Also had a problem with the guide bar slipping during a long cutout.

lacks proper hardware to attach it.
Did not come with conical head screws to attach the base flush. More like button heads.

Router Edge Guide
Doesn't fit any of my routers? Assumed I could drill holes to make it work but its too narrow. Going forward i will shop with my router base plate in hand.

bad design
I ordered and tried this on a project.
It went together without any problem, and I tightened it in place as well as I could.
However, as soon as I started the cut with the router, the wooden edge guide slipped out of position, and the router jerked into the wood and ruined my work piece. I tried several other times on scrap to get it to hold, and it never did. I consider it unusable.

We do a lot of 1" router lines and this has made production so much faster and easier. We no longer have to mark out lines and set guides to rout these lines anymore. They need a little modification to fit our router but other than that they work great!

I have never used a router before but I was told that the bit rotates clockwise and you route from left to right unless you mount the router from under a table?
Chief on Jan 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You are correct, clockwise rotation and when mounted under a table it rotates counterclockwise. The cut direction should be left to right with exception of running your workpiece right to left because the workpiece is upside down.
can the router edge guide be used with any router & if the router is mounted?
