Saberdrive™ Interior Wood Screws-#8 Wood Screws

These rugged interior wood screws are made from hardened steel for superior resistance to breakage. The star drive heads won't strip out, and the threads are serrated so they won't work loose over time. Type 17 point helps you drive the screw without a pilot hole in self-tapping applications.

Features:
  • Star drive (Torx-style) head is extremely resistant to stripping
  • Hardened steel for durability
  • Serrated thread helps the screw stay tight over time
  • Type 17 point - no predrilling required

are these screws brass? They look like brass color in photo.
A shopper on Apr 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No they are not brass. I am not sure of the exact alloy make-up but they are much stronger than brass I can guarantee you that. I hope this helps your purchase decision.
What is the difference between sabredrive and Torx drive?
Bill D on Dec 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Torx is the screwdriver head used on this screw. (Looks like a star). Sabredrive is the brand name of the screw and has nothing to do with the screwdriver used.
Hope that helps.
