SawStop Table Saw Industrial Mobile Base w/Professional PCS Conversion Kit
SawStop Table Saw Industrial Mobile Base w/Professional PCS Conversion Kit

For woodworkers using a Sawstop® PCS Professional Cabinet Saws (sold separately), this mobile base makes moving the saw an absolute breeze, without compromising stability. Give the foot pedal three quick pumps, and the saw is lifted onto four sturdy, rotating casters. A light press on the release lowers the saw so that it rests firmly on the ground, not the casters, ensuring excellent stability while sawing.

Features:
  • Table saw mobile base supports both saw and extension table
  • After lowering, the saw rests directly on your shop floor, not on the casters, so its weight is transferred directly to the floor
  • Constructed from fully welded solid 1/4" steel with a black powder coat finish
  • High performance ball bearing casters hold up in a dusty workshop environment
  • No additional extension hardware is required
  • Four 360° rotating casters provide mobility in any direction
  • Non-marring polyurethane wheels for smooth-rolling performance
  • No International shipping available on SawStop items. SawStop items can only be shipped within the Continental United States.
  • SawStop, the SawStop blade logo, and the configurations of SawStop products are either registered trademarks or trademarks of SawStop, LLC and are used with permission.

Fit to 1.75 HP Cabinet saw
The instructions were laid out nicely, and easy to follow. Getting the saw onto the stand was a little more difficult. I had one friend to help, so we could not pick up the saw as recommended with four people.
After positioning the saw to be tipped up, it did slide on the packing, but putting some strips of wood on the front stand cross bar let us tilt the saw up onto the wood strips, and then slide the saw back onto the rear bottom strap. Once in position, The saw was slightly tilted off the wood, and the strips of wood were removed. The saw then sat in its proper position.

This industrial base was a must for me because it allows complete movement in all directions (or in circles) without needing a lot of space. The hydraulic lift makes raising and lowering the table saw extremely easy, and it lifts my 36 inch table extension. I have seen the commercial base for the SawStop, and this industrial base is in my opinion far superior.

Works like magic
This would be a five star review except for the conversion process to adapt this for the PCS. The bolts were *VERY* well locked in place, causing some stripping of the socket head for two of the bolts I had to remove. DO NOT USE BALL-END DRIVERS for this. Also, ensure your hex key is very well aligned in the socket head. The slightest misalignment and you'll be sorry. I wound up using vise-grips to remove two of the bolts after their hex sockets had stripped.

Aside from the challenges in adapting for the PCS, once adapted and installed, this thing is magic. My >500# saw floats on air with this base. I have a smaller shop and so being able to move the saw a little or a lot from time to time is highly valuable.

Why did you choose this?
Rockler Store
Portability, and since this is recommended by SawStop, I decided to go with this base. Looking at reviews, it looks like there will be some manual assembly, and SawStop should take that into account for ease of product use.

It swings easily 360 degrees once up, where the other model is a back and forth effort to locate in a tight space.

A bit pricey, but I wanted a base that was easy to use and reliable. From all of the reviews, this one is truly far above all others in terms of ease of use and quality

This is an absolute no brainer purchase for my SawStop Professional Table Saw. I am COMPLETELY happy with it and it makes moving this very heavy saw around my shop a breeze. I don't even think twice about needing to move my saw. Great product. That said, if you are purchasing a new saw, get this base before assembling the saw...makes the process much easier.

Will this base work with other saw brands, for example the Grizzly 0715P?
Daniel M on Jan 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Whether the SawStop industrial mobile base would work with other brand table saws would require some careful measurement and analysis. The maximum width of a table saw stand that would fit in this SawStop base would be 19 1/4 inches, and the maximum stand depth would be 20 1/2 inches. The SawStop base has heavy guage straps that run underneath the table saw stand, but without actually seeing and measuring the exact location of the feet of a different brand table saw stand, it would not be possible to determine whether those feet would align properly with the support straps on the SawStop base. In addition, the SawStop base has anchoring straps at each of the four corners of the table saw base that are anchored by bolts into the table saw stand, so it would undoubtedly require some drilling and modification to get those anchor straps to connect to the stand of a different brand table saw. Any such drilling could affect the warranty of the manufacturer of a table saw that is not a SawStop table saw. I wouldn't recommend trying to adapt a different brand table saw to the SawStop industrial mobile base.

How does the SawStop mobile base support the 36" extension table with a heavy 3 1/4 hp router? I don't see any visible support.
Michael A on Aug 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I haven’t installed heavy router on extension table but the table is held by the rigid, robust rail system. The pro mobile base (the hydraulic, not the simple lever lift) easily raises (and gently lowers) the cabinet and rail system. I haven’t tried but I suspect it would easily handle 30 or 40 lbs on ext table. The hydraulics can handle it and the rails certainly won’t bend.
By the way, I love the smooth and easy operation of the pro mobile base.

BEST ANSWER: The mobile base is screwed into the base of the saw. It's the best mobile base I have. I have the 52" wing and it's really nice and easy to move around. My friend has the same setup as you. All cast top with the router table and it works perfectly
How high does the MB-PCS-IND mobile base lift the saw above the floor?
Fred G on Nov 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello Fred:

Thank you for your question. I'm curious as to the nature of your question. Most questions about our mobile bases have to do with if it raises the entire saw, including the extension table at the end of the rails and not so much about how high the saw will be lifted. To answer your question, though, the Industrial Mobile Base will raise the saw about 1/2", which is plenty to be able to move your saw around your shop.
