“Can" you use glue or is it that you don’t need to in certain use applications? seems like I would have much more setup time with complicated joints using multiple biscuits over the normal ones that swell up after a few minutes, making clamps nearly impossible.

BEST ANSWER: I’d use a polyurethane glue, like Gorilla Glue, that cures in the presence of water or moisture. It will adhere to the wood and the textured polymer for an incredibly strong bond. Mist all surfaces with water, apply a few drops of glue, assemble, clamp and let cure overnight for best results. The polyurethane glue expands in the presence of moisture, and as it cures, it fills all voids. However, if you use too much glue, it can seep outside the joints and discolor the wood as well as plug up the wood’s porosity, making it difficult to stain and get a consistent color. Polyurethane glue is one of the strongest adhesives on the market if used correctly...the substrates MUST have moisture to work. Gorilla makes numerous types of adhesives now, so make sure it’s the correct one. The polyurethane glue was their first one to hit the market, and the one that gave the brand it’s strong reputation.
