Striplox Mini joinery connectors have a huge variety of uses in knock-down furniture and on-site assembly. The two-part connectors are mortised into the corresponding pieces, providing a totally concealed look with no visible fasteners. To connect, just press the parts together and slide. After the initial installation with LiquidLox Adhesive (#56422, sold separately), assembly and disassembly are completely tool-free. Break off the locking tab if you want to be able to disassemble the joint, or leave it in place for a permanent connection. Made from durable, heat-stabilized glass-reinforced nylon. May be oriented vertically or horizontally, depending on your application.

Applications include:

  • Wood joints in knock-down furniture or ready-to-assemble furniture (RTA)
  • Frames, structures and supports
  • Knock-down work tables for the shop
  • Floating shelves on the wall
  • Acoustic paneling (air space from surface-mount will enhance performance)
  • Wall and ceiling paneling
  • Architectural panels
  • Signage and display boards
  • Retail displays and fixtures
  • Commercial or office partitions

Too hard to work with...
Bought some of these to experiment with. I was looking for a knock-down alternative to mortise and tenon joints.

Maybe these would be ok in a metric shop, but if you work in the English units the setup for installing these is pretty tedious/annoying.

If you want a precise alignment once your pieces are connected then consider how you're going to align your parts.
With biscut joining you can precisely align your parts when you glue ths biscut in. With these you have two separate halves to glue in and only when it's too late will you see how good your aligning was. It doesn't help that the connectors are rounded making it even harder to get them placed just right.

Measurement issues make these things just too finicky to work with. I just pin my M&T's.

BTW: they do sell a layout template for these, but I can't imagine that'll help much if you're not metric.

Woodworking Experience:
Very disappointed
I had high hopes and a high end project I wanted to use these for. No mention that they only fit properly using a metric biscuit joiner. No mention that they will snap apart from each other with the slightest of twisting action.
I ended up wasting a lot of time getting alignments and proper slot sizing only to have to run screws into my joints to maintain stability and lock my pieces together. Total junk, don't waste your time on these.
