Bed rail hardware
I have used other bed rail hardware from Rockler before, but it was very tedious to install. This set of bed rail hardware was much easier to install.

I would recommend this product.

Good quality, reasonable price.
Actually, I have used that hardware before, but on this occasion I purchased them for a friend, who also is a return customer. Thus, product cost, quality, and availability as appreciated. Will definitely be back for more..

Used on California King
I bought these brackets to use on a California King bed I built. These brackets work great!! I have been sleeping in the bed now for over a year and they still hold the head and foot board in place as tight as the day in installed them. Great product and will be picking up more for future projects.

Benjamin O on Mar 21, 2018
My family has used these brackets before and had great results. We have moved the bed several times and occasionally had to deploy a rubber mallet to separate/re-join the brackets. The fit is nice and snug and firm without being a total pain to move. This spring my dad and I are each building a frame and both using these brackets again!

leeana on Feb 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes
My bed rails are 1" thick 9" wide oak. Will these brackets be enough support for this board?
janet n on Jan 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Same dimensions as mine and same product. They worked well for me; I expect you will find the same.
I am trying to convert a crib to a full bed and the crib head/footboards have threaded inserts- What is the spacing between the 4 mounting screw holes on the female bracket?
David D on Mar 13, 2017
The brackets are installed correctly but there isn't enough clearance to fully slide the male into the bottom of the female. do you have suggestions on easy fixes?
john s on Sep 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I find that you have to make sure the female end is just past the edge (instead of flush with the board) for it to securely hook on the the male end. Only once I had to exchange a set because they were not exactly lined up as a set. I have made 4 Toddler Beds and they are great for a quick set bed. Make sure you hook them together to see if they fit correctly before you attach them onto your project, sometimes the paint will make them hang up, so I just sand the connections a little.
any special install instructions?
Larry K on Jul 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: These brackets are not marked left and right, but A and B. One rail uses an A and a B. You definitely need to puzzle it out. The picture on the website is helpful. There are no instructions with the bracket. Note the screw sizes needed listed above because that is not on the package, either.
Weight rating for brackets?
A shopper on May 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Although bed brackets are not rated, I would not be concerned about the weight the bracket can handle. I would be more concerned with my side rails. Using bed slats will distribute the weigh on the bed across the whole system.
I am joining 2X8's to make a platform bed-need easy connect and disconnect. Which brackets do you recommend?
Teresa B on Jun 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Surface Mounted Keyhole Bed Rail Brackets are very easy to install and quick to connect and disconnect.
Can these be used to make a bunk bed? Are they safe enough?
Mackinaw on May 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: yes they give a good sturdy connection to the head and foot boards.
Why is there only 1 screw in the female side of the bracket?
Darwin M on Feb 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The female actually has holes for 3 screws. The single hole is for the safety screw you place once the rails are mounted.
How far apart are the "buttons" on the male bracket?
D G on Dec 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 1-3/4 center to center. 3/8" diameter
I have 4 brackets and they are all identical except for 2 with "A" and 2 with "B". There is no difference in the hole pattern or slots. Shouldn't there be a right and left?
George on Nov 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There is a difference if you consider the ends of the side rails attach reversed. lay them out and you will see.
