The Tadpole Tape Cutter is a simple, lightweight tool that attaches to just about any roll of tape, letting you cut off any length you need, neatly and squarely. It's an excellent sidekick for painting jobs where you need nice square ends to meet at an inside corner when taping window glass, for example. In addition, the Tadpole features retainers that keep the tape end from returning to the roll and getting stuck. The Tadpole Tape Cutter is available in a range of sizes to fit masking tape, scotch tape, electrical, duct tape, packing tape and more. Say goodbye to that bulky tape gun and hello to the convenience of the Tadpole.
I was a little skeptical as to how well they would work so I only ordered 2 to start with. After trying them for a while I ordered 3 more. I really like them and they work very well. It is a little hard to get the chords into the holding slot. My only concern would be how well the chord holdsVery up with multiple changes of tape spools. If they hold up I will consider it an excellent and very useful product.
Useful device for quick applications of measured lenghts of tape.
I have uses these so much that a number of fellow woodworkers have also purchased these because of their usefulness and speedy help in the quick application of tape to various projects. Good value and even better if they make sizes more common to luthier tape widths.
As others have written, the slot to the side that holds the bungee cord is so tight that getting the cord into the slot is almost impossible. I've had to take a utility knife and knife file to widen the slit enough to do it's job.
Also, when trying to tear the tape using the serrated edge, that's not always as successful as I'd like.
