This tap is used for cutting threads in the 6' track included with our Rolling Barn Door Hardware Kits (sold separately). Threads must be tapped in the ends of the track so that the end stops may be installed. The 6' tracks arrive untapped, so the ends must be tapped even if the track is intended to be used full-length. For your convenience, a hole is drilled through the entire length of the track, so no drill bit is required. Sold singly.
