Woodworking Experience:
Spindle/belt sander does precisely what I expected
I needed to be able to sand some end grain boards for projects and didn't have a decent way to do so. I already have a disc/belt sander (4" belt, 6" disc), but that requires the board to be held vertical, which is too difficult to keep perpendicular to the sanding belt and the disc is too small to be used as needed. This has made quick and easy work for a pair of boxes (shoe-sized) and cut my time way down for each one.

I have only tried the spindle by itself briefly, but I'm sure it will get a lot of use when I start making a set of Adirondack chairs for our front porch to replace some ugly steel ones that are long past their use date.

I'd buy it again.

Woodworking Experience:
Fantastic sander...ditch the free belt though...
This sander is a workhorse! All of it’s accessories are stowed away nicely and setup is a breeze. The dust extraction works flawlessly while in spindle mode...the belt sander mode dust extraction does well though not as efficient as spindle mode. The one thing I would speak against is the 80 grit belt that comes with the has bite, but the joint seam overlaps. So when sanding your workpiece will get bumped away from the sander on each rotation. That will lead to you compensating and the eventual flaw on the leading edge of the piece you are sanding. No worries can find a 12 piece variety pack of belts with butt joints for about $18.00...and they are fantastic with this sander.

Note to Triton guys: Don’t devalue this awesome sander with a cheap belt!

Woodworking Experience:
Pretty good sander
Works pretty well. A little under-powered, but works fine. I use it for hobby woodworking. Would not recommend for professional shop. I bought 180 and 220 grit spindles / belts also and this adds more flexibility for sanding / cleaning up my projects. I attached it to a heavy base I made and this helps prevent shaking or movement as it is a fairly light machine. Easy to change spindles and belts. Table angle adjusts easily. No miter track on the table though.

Very good belt/spindle sander
Easy to set up and works fine. would have been 5 stars except that the belt that comes with it is poor quality. Purchased better quality and all is well.

Reasonable price and liked the combination of belt and spindle sander.

I wanted a decent multi-purpose spindle/belt sander for my small shop. Reviews from other parts of the world and on this site indicate that this is a solid unit. I plan on using the belt sander to clean up small, flat, bandsaw-cut surfaces, and the spindles will be used for curved bandsaw cuts.

Searching for a good combo sander for my small workspace, and this has more advertised power than bigger orange one from the local home store.
Matthew T on Mar 31, 2019
Good reviews. The other orange brand is too expensive and I had a gift card. Looking forward to trying Triton tools!

What size sanding belt does this take?
DJ Wood Butcher on Mar 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The belt size is 100 x 610mm.
If I mount this on a flip stand, will any of the parts drop out when I rotate to the other tool?
Brian B on Apr 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: When flipped over, most if not all the parts (sanding drums, belt sander cover, spindle nuts, drum disks) will fall out. Not a problem if you incorporate a drawer or side shelf on your flip stand to hold the parts plus any extra sanding supplies you buy.
What size is the belt?
Robert L. M on May 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: 4 x 24" for those of us in the US.Enter
It looks like this runs off a wall wart power supply, is that correct?
Michael W on Jun 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No. Mine is powered via a standard 120V power cable permanently attached to the chassis.
How loud is it?
CHUNG-MAU C on Jul 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I found it to be quieter than expected. Not nearly as loud as some of my Craftsman benchtops.
Hello, do you have 220v version?
Hrayr O on Dec 31, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No, I have the 110 version and it works great
When in belt sander set up, what is the length/distance from outside edge to outside edge of the drums and what is the platen length?
David V on Dec 31, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Overall width of the top is about 16”. On the left side there is about 2” to the edge and on the right side about 3” to the edge. From the front edge to the belt, you have about 8-1/2”
I just received my spindle sander, but there wasn't an owners manual in the box. Shouldn't one have been included?
Greg W on Apr 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Greg, I just looked at the one I gave my husband. There is no owner’s manual in this one either. Hopefully there is something to download from the internet.
Does the belt oscillate also?
Patrick R on Mar 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes it does. The belt spindle travel and speed of oscillation is the same as the spindle alone.
What width is the minimum that the belt fits into (assuming side-to-side contact) when sanding a slot? I need to sand a slot about 15 feet long that is 1-1/4" inches wide. Will the belt sander fit into this slot? If not, what size slot will this sander work in? Thanks
Dale A on Jul 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This is the srong tool for that because the belt.wraps around, however the smallest diameter or larger oscillation roller should fit in a 1.25" slot, if I understand you correctly.
What are the dimensions of the table?
JAMES G on Mar 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: 151/2"x17" base table top is 16"x15" end to end the part that folds is 16"x9"

wardo on Mar 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: To activate the extended 3 year guarantee you must register the product at within 30 days of purchase. Should you not wish to register, a standard 30 day guarantee period will apply.
