Triton TTS1400 Plunge-Cut Track Saw

Combined with the Track Pack, the TTS1400 Track Saw yields razor-straight cuts with virtually zero chipping.
Item #
86% of 100

Triton's TTS1400 Track Saw is a compact, versatile cutting machine that can quickly dimension both sheet goods and solid stock. When used with the TTSTP Track Pack (#56987, sold separately), it provides smooth, straight cuts with almost no chipping on either face of the sheet, with the ability to cut bevels of up to 48°. The cut quality rivals and even beats that of a high-quality cabinet saw. The blade housing features a flat design that allows you to work right up against a wall or other obstacle. Plunging capability lets you start and stop cuts in the middle of a sheet, while the plunge lock provides enhanced safety. The easily accessible shaftlock provides fast, convenient blade-changes. Variable speed with soft start and constant speed, soft-grip handles and on-board tool storage round out an already well-designed track saw.

  • Mode selector for quick change between free plunge, scribe, and blade change modes
  • Scribe mode eliminates splintering and tear-out
  • Easy change carbon brushes to further extend the product lifespan
  • Precision bevel cut adjustment of bevel angle from 0-48º
  • Dual bevel quadrants provide stability for precision cutting
  • Variable speed, soft start and constant speed electronics optimised for required cutting conditions for every material
  • Dual alignment cams fine tune the fit between the saw and track for exact cuts
  • Anti-kickback feature helps reduce the risk of kickback when performing plunge cuts
  • Guide rail track lock adds stability when performing bevel cuts
  • Precise cutting depth adjustment can be set to a maximum of 54mm / 2-1/8''
  • Width of cut indicators for exact positioning of blade on the workpiece
  • Fast blade replacement easily accessed through the blade guard
  • Highly efficient dust extraction with universal vacuum system adaptor and 360° outlet
  • Blade-change mode and power switch lock-out for easy blade changes
  • Plunge lock secures the blade inside the guard when not in use
  • Non-slip rubber over-molded grip offers increased support, safety and control

Actually, Janet is my wife. She probably bought a gift for me and her name ended up on the account. However, my name is MIKE and I enjoy The saw very much. It works very well. No complaints.

I was at the Rockler store when one of the associates mentioned this tool as a good track saw for the money and function, citing that the company is growing and making great tools. I have never owned a Triton tool until I bought this saw, and it works great. Cuts with ease and leaves little to no chipout. Sub $500 track saw complete with tracks, not bad. Happy I saved a few hundred compared to the festool.

Awesome track saw!
This thing is amazing! It is so easy to use and set up. They cut quality from the stock blade is really good. I highly recommend this saw if you are in the market to get one but don’t want to fork out the crazy money for a festool!

This is a versatile circular saw and more
I bought this along with the track and clamps - it makes easy work of cutting large sheets of ply to size. I have yet to use it for close to a wall cutting but I'm sure it will work fine for that. Triton seems to think differently when designing power tools - I also have a Triton plunge router that works great.

Great for solo workers
Great saw! I work alone most days and I can process sheet goods in the fraction of the time it used to take. And the safety of using a track saw over other “homade” options justifies the cost.

Woodworking Experience:
Great saw.
I just pulled this out of the box, and used it for the first time.
The saw was set up when I took it out. I literally unraveled the cord, plugged it in and was making nice clean cross cuts.
Good spring tension for the plunge feature.
Multiple easy to use depth stops.

The main depth stop adjuster could be a little easier to access, and adjust(kinda wimpy knob).

I have used the Festool TS55 and TS75, and this saw feels very similar in cut quality. Both saws have comparable features. The main difference is the action of the stops and detents(And the price). The triton has cheaper knobs, sliders, and switches(and costs about half as much).
At the end of the day, this saw is a very worthy alternative to the TS55. I am happy with my Triton purchase.

Works good and slides good on the track, (although it comes in two pieces ) but over all its a very good saw.

Better for good straight cuts and breaking down sheet goods. Much handier than a table saw for large work. Plus, just had to have one!!

Purchased this to replace a unit delivered from another vendor that was improperly packaged and heavily damaged; Future projects require sheet breakdowns and odd angle cuts, and for that, a track saw is the perfect tool.

I use the track saw to cut out sides for kitchen cabinets. Very accurate, much easier than cutting oversize and then trimming on tablesaw.

where is this saw made????
?????? on Aug 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Made in China to Triton specifications. (written on label on saw)
do you get the track with that price or do you have to buy it separate?
Justin C on Oct 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This is the saw only. You need to purchase the track additionally. It is linked in the Frequently Bought Together section of the offer.
Does anyone want to comment on their experience with this saw? I'm comparing models now and would like to hear from someone that has actually used it.

BEST ANSWER: I have had this saw for a year now and i absolutely love it. I use it mostly to break down sheet goods but I have cut down a few doors with no issues. The only issue i had was with the blade that came with the saw, it did not stay sharp for too long. i replaced it with a Freud LU79R006M20 48 tooth thin Kerf Plywood and Melamine Track Saw Blade and the cut quality is awesome again. I have cut through 3 layers of 3/4" Cabinet grade birch plywood in one cut and this saw didn't skip a beat!
Will other brand clamps work on this track?
Michael on Mar 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have heard others say it will, but Triton are the only track clamps I own. Sorry I cannot give further information.
Does this saw have a riving knife like the festool and others?
Mario P on Feb 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It does not have a rising knife but it does have a knob with an offset wheel that binds against the rail to prevent kickback. It also prevents the saw from moving backwards at all. So at the end of every cut you have to lift the saw from the track to reposition at the beginning. Also, the knob has to be opened by hand everytime you place it on the track.
can you use regular circular saw blades in this or are they specialty blades?
nellie p on Feb 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you mean the standard 7-1/4" blades hanging on the rack: no they don't fit. You need one with the correct arbor. I don't remember off hand the arbor size. There are several manufacturers making blades for these saws.
Can the saw bevel cut along the cut line without being offset?
Hugh D on May 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the saw tilts to your right when tilted. If there is an offset, it would no more than 1/16 of an inch. I have tilted the saw to check for clearance but have never cut a bevel.
does this saw work with Makita tracks ? They seems to be almost identical looking on the pictures . I already have Makita long track
Andrzej P on Jan 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Sorry. I can't answer this for you. I'm only familiar with Triton tracks. If you want to send a drawing of the cross section I could compare

BEST ANSWER: It is 120VAC with a standard 2 prong USA plug.
What's the depth of cut?
Jim R on Aug 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: You can set it to what ever depth you need. Max is approximately 2.75 inches or a little less.
what size is the track saw?
Rudy L on Apr 26, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Here are manufacturers specs for the Triton Track Saw

Height: 250mm (9-13/16'')
Length: 335mm (13-3/16'')
Width: 235mm (9-1/4'')
Weight: 5.5kg (12.12 lbs)
Saw Blade Diameter 6-1/2"

Hope this helps. It's a good alternative to more expensive models.
Will this work with an EZ Track?
William on Jan 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It probably will work with a Triton saw. Have you carefully studied Eurekazone's owner's manuals and their online videos? Your success will be dependent on how well you setup the EZ Track adapter plate to your Triton plunge saw. Even if the EZ Track doesn't work for some reason, you could make your own adapter plate for the EZ Track. Do you know about Triton's saw track guides?
