Use these ready made corner blocks to save time when making furniture or cabinets. Screws in place with one screw on each side (screws not included, #8 recommended). Helps maintain structural integrity of wood projects. While plastic braces do the job, wood braces allow for gluing which further enhances rigidity. Made of paint-grade quality poplar.

I'm using them in an unconventional way, but they are well made and the company is easy to order from. I will order from them again.

corner braces
Bought these before. Can't find them anywhere except for Rockler. Glad they carry them..easier than putzing around making my own. Only thing I recommend is to sand a little champfer where the 90 deg meets for glue squeeze out...

I used both these wood braces...
I used both these wood braces and the similar plastic ones. They are both easy to install and while the plastic braces do the job, these wood braces are better as they allow the use of glue which adds quite a bit to rigidity.

Will use these at inside back corners of 6 ft tall bookcases as part of an anti-tip system. They will be fastened to the sides of the bookcases and also through the back to S4S lumber, which in turn is fastened to studs within the wall. I'll be able to stain these to match the finish on the bookcases.

I am building sewing tables and the design includes leg brackets. The poplar 3/4" matches the table top and shelf bottom. These will provide a more finished look that the metal brackets, although either type will provide the additional support I am looking for.

What type of screw to use and what length? I was thinking something like the "KregĀ® Coarse Maxi-Loc- Square Drive-Washer Head" #8 screw, but I don't know if the washer would fit in the per-drilled hole. I would also like to know how long is the hole in the corner block before the screw hits another piece of wood. Thanks
Ricardo A on Mar 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I used deck screws. I don't remember for sure, but I think the hole is approx. 3/4 " after the countersink depth.
how do you measure the dimensions on a corner block?
Steve B on Sep 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: In the description of the block, the first dimension is the thickness of the block. The second and third dimension given is the length of the sides that fit into the 90 degree corner of what ever you are reinforcing.
What if the chair fram is not 90 degrees ?
peggy s on May 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If the chair frame is not 90 degrees, you would have to use an adjustable square to mark the angle and trim the block to the proper angle. I use a lot of these and they work great.
