Great for what I call glue and sawdust board
I chose these because the weight is on the underneath side of the bracket and will be fine for this type of material. I struggled with the first ones because I tried drilling it and installing the screw end to end using the smaller threaded hole to screw into. My board was slightly thinner which distorted everything. What I finally did on the rest was to clamp the U bracket to the wood, drill all the way thru it and insert a bolt right on thru and nut it down.

Roll Top Desk
Relatively easy to install, used to support a huge roll top desk which was just too heavy to move around. The wrap on casters have made things a lot easier now that it's possible to move the desk.

Just what I needed for a closet.

I am refurbishing an old desk. The bottoms of the wood doesn't look good like maybe it got wet. I thought this would help cover that and also make it easy to move around.

Project for sewing cabinet. Side mount offers best option for my application. Not easy to find elsewhere??Wish they made the heels smaller since the wheel height adds to the cabinet height.

This is perfect for what I need. I just purchased a queen sized platform bed with 2 drawers but it's difficult to pull out the drawers because they're flush with the floor. My problem will be solved by raising the bed a quarter or half of an inch.

Are these available anywhere for 3/4" thick material?
ROBERT G on Mar 7, 2016
Hello, I have just acquired a 1983-vintage Parsons sewing machine cabinet that has 5/8 inch veneer plywood sides and back panel. The manufacturer installed nylon glides that had a ringed nail driven through the center of them into the raw bottom edge of the plywood cabinet sides. Over the years, three of the four glides have gone MIA, ripping out the inside of the plywood near where the nail had previously secured the glides. I would like to replace the one remaining glide ( and the three missing glides ) with these "Wrap-On Twin-Wheel Casters".

The issue is that they would raise the cabinet by the stated 2-3/16 inches, which is out of the question, due to my wife being only 5'-3" tall. I may have to build a framework out of 5/8" plywood in order to be able to mount these casters inside of the side walls and back panel of the cabinet, notching the plywood frame work by two inches to allow me to recess the casters up inside of the side panels of the cabinet by 2 inches. Can you tell me the height dimension of the steel u-channel bracket? IF I do proceed with the new framework, should I use another type of wood for it? Thank you for your time....... Bern

wrap around caster for 1/2 " material?
James A on Jul 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I just used these on a media cabinet I was assembling (one with 2 drawers and 2 openings for the media equipment). Worked well for me and the material was 1/2"...there's just a small space on either side but I tightened the screw well so it's not going to be a problem..
Is the 40 lb capacity per caster?
Michael A on Nov 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is 40lb per caster.
