If you've ever used self-closing euro hinges with inset doors, you know you need a stop to keep the hinges from pulling the door inside the cabinet. FastCap's Euro Door Stop is a simple, unobtrusive solution to that problem. No bulky wooden stops, just a compact plastic button with one screw. To adjust, simply rotate the stop until the door sits flush, and tighten down.

Good Solution for Inset Doors
These are a nice, inobtrusive, one-screw solution for stopping inset doors on self-closing hinges. The screw hole is offset from the center of the bumper, so after you install it you can rotate the bumper to adjust the point where the door stops.

perfect solution for inset doors
The eccentric center hole makes it easy to adjust these. I think the screws are either #6 or #7. I had some longer #7's left over, so I used them when the stop was in plywood. When in hardwood, the included #6's were fine. Probably OK for the plywood, too. These are very flexible for installation. One can locate them anywhere the door would strike. For example, one application I used was on a wood block behind a center stile for twin doors. Just a little less noticeable than on the bottom of the cabinet, although that is pretty unobtrusive.

Finally, these are not soft rubber, but the plastic is a softer nylon of some kind, so they don't make a loud noise on door contact, and you don't have to ape the screw down. Just snug it a little until the plastic flexes a bit, and you can adjust it anytime you want.

I have European cabinet door hinge replacements. They didn't come with the insert for the hinges to make placing the hinge on easier. The nails are short and the hole is large. I need something to go into the hole to make the nail secure in the hole. I ordered hinge dowels but they were the wrong thing. Do you have a suggestion?
Etemarch on Jul 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you need to fill a hole from the previous European hinge, Rockler sells a hinge repair kit that comes with 2 dowels to fill the screw holes and a 1-3/8" diameter wooden plug to fill the hinge cup hole. If you just need the screw holes filled, then take the 2 small plugs, put glue on them, then tap them into the 1/4" diameter holes. Once the glue has dried, trim off any protruding parts of the hole plugs using a flat bladed trim saw, sand smooth, and refinish the door. Then put your new hinges on.
