Solid Solution
I used these brackets to build a table saw extention table. The work very well, are very solid, and enable me to lower the table when I am not using it. I saw these on a youtube video and decided they were the best solution for my extention and I am very happy with them.

I installed brackets on exterior wall of my house next to my charcoal grill. They are sturdy and were easy to install.

I am using them to support a 52" x 18" x 3/4" plywood work surface. They are mounted to a concrete wall using Tapcon's 1/4" x 1 3/4". The side to side sway is not bad for my purpose light mechanics work and home projects but if you used them for woodworking it might be a bigger issue. They seem to be very strong. Because my work surface is wide I have to release one side first and then the other but his is a non-issue for me. I'm very happy with these brackets and will be ordering two more sets to make garage shelving.

I was very happy with these...
I was very happy with these brackets. Easy to install but weren't installed exactly parallel so table is not completely flush with wall when closed, but close enough to look good for my project. This was for a laundry table sandwiched btwn 2 shallow cabinets. Because there is no side access and very little access below these worked much better than other brackets that require you to disengage from underneath before opening. Also found the review of not butting table all the way to wall very helpful. Easily supports 2 hampers of wet laundry.

The brackets are very functional. Need to remember to allow 1/4 inch space between wall and shelf as shelf will bind otherwise. I live in a condo unit with a very narrow patio, and attached the brackets under a window to allow for a folding shelf space when using my grill. I used 2" Tapcons to attach the shelf to the wall, knowing that I will not be placing anything heavy on it. Shelf is painted the color of the condo walls to allow it to "disappear" when folded down.

The brackets are great - perfect for our countertop project. The hardest part about installing them was getting the sticker off of the product! (We used a LOT of UnDu.) We like that the brackets are foldable, do not take up a lot of space under the counter - only about 5 inches and that they are heavy duty.

Good brackets; wish they had a little less side-to-side motion/racking, but that's only an issue because I am using them to hold up outfeed supports on my mortising table. One thing: when you're mounting these, make sure the top is not set absolutely flush with the back wall (or whatever you're mounting it too), since the shelf needs to lift up a bit beyond 90 degrees to engage and disengage the brace.

OK but not perfect
They install fairly easily, but you must use great care to install the hinges perfectly parallel to one another or they will bind when you try to lower the shelf. Lastly they were a little on the flimsy side.

Very good and functional, however, you have to reach under the shelf to reengage the lock (not self locking like other retractable shelf brackets).

Was looking for a solution to support a foldable outfeed table for my table saw (I'm a beginner DIY woodworker). This was recommended by my brother who is a professional carpenter.

Can these be used outside?
Pratibha S on Oct 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Given that they're steel and will rust, I wouldn't use them outside.
