    Z clips
They work great. However, the holes are not straight across. Use the adjoining piece to mark the drilling location.

    works great
I used 1pair attached to wood I shaped to the inside of the frying pan so that there is no visible hanger for the clock. these are easier than using a hook or nail and handles the weight with no effort in sheet rock.

Great way to install for a variety of projects
I've used the Z-clips for several projects in the past, and have always ended up ordering online. It was really nice to be able to just stop in and purchase the clips. As a hands-on interior designer who does my own projects, I've used these clips to install banquette seating, headboards, large art pieces and even helped snug sectional pieces together with them. Great product - think out of the box - you'll use them more than you realize.

Great Solution for our Wardrobe Cabinets
Installed freestanding wardrobe cabinets in private offices. Used these to prevent the units tilting forward. These allowed lateral movement (left and right) a 1/4" for placement without drilling through the back and affixing to the wall.

    Hanging a large bathroom mirror.
The z clips were perfect to hang a 72 inch bathroom mirror in a frame. I attached 4 z clips to the studs in the wall and then aligned and attached the opposite z clip to the back of the mirror. All we had to do was to slide the mirror up and over the wall clips and we were done. The z clips were easy to install and solved our problem of how to hang the mirror with no hangers shown. The z clips allowed the mirror to hang directly against the wall. I have a handful left for the next project.

    Well Made
The clips fit together with no slop. The ridges along the back enhance the connection with the cabinet and well. The slight bevel where they go together enhances how the clips fit together. I'm very pleased with the fit and finish and how well they work with each other.

Seems more forgiving than the clips that have a small pocket... I want to hang a 3' long shelf as close to the wall as possible without having to route out anything. The shelf has a 6" high back as well... which is where these are going.

how much weight will the 2" z clip hold ?
    jim m on Feb 3, 2016
So I want to mount some garage upper storage cabinets. They will be heavy by themselves, once loaded with stuff very heavy. Is there a full length version of these that can hold more weight?
    Richard R on Oct 31, 2015
What is the load capacity for Z clips?
    Mohamad S on Jul 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I used 4 clips and wall board anchors to mount a 50 lb 7ft long shelf.
    Solid as a rock!
are there 10 pairs of cleats or only 10 pieces per pack?
    glenn s on Jul 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There are 10 pairs.
Is there anything to stop these clips from moving laterally until they no longer hold the item up?
    A shopper on May 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, they can slide laterally, but that also makes them forgiving on alignment. I mounted s shelf for Hummel figurines. I routed out the back to the depth of the clip and that routed out section doesn't allow too much side to side movement. You could also put a small screw on either side as well to provide a lateral stop. I was impressed that they support a lot of weight and hold the shelf securely flat against the wall.
I want to hang a panel 6" to 8" away from the wall, it will be 3/4" plywood, 12" high. It will be down 8" to 10" from the ceiling as well. Any mounting brackets?
    Joe N on Oct 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: These only are 1/4" thick when joined so the 6" - 8" stand off would have to be done with a bracket or box frame
How much height is needed to lift clips up to engage / disengage?
    Patrick G on Dec 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not much, maybe 1/2".
what size are the screws want to make sure they are not too long for mirror?
    Cathy on Mar 12, 2018
Will these brackets be great for kitchen floating wood shelves?
    Britt on Jan 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The Z clips are generally used for hanging heavy, flat items, such as frames, panels and partitions. For individual floating shelves you may wish to consider item 20103.
Will z-clips work on walls sloping inward, such as in attic space?
    Chuck L on Mar 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Probably not a great use for Z clips. For example, if you hung a flat panel with any weight to it, you would need to support the top and bottom edges of the object - so 4 sets.
Can these be used for hanging shutters?
    Tim G on Aug 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: absolutely. keep in mind these are not fasteners. I used them to hang a trifold mirror.
    Are These Aluminum?
    Larry on Aug 26, 2016
Can you use these by sliding the object you want to attach horizontally instead of sliding down vertically? I’m looking for flush mount hardware that could be used to attach a wood corbel in an entryway so, it would be flush against the ceiling as well as the wall.
    Roxanne R on Dec 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Attaching horizontal won’t hold the piece in place and vertically will leave a small gap at the top. Might consider glue to get flush mount to ceiling
Will these work for an exterior application? I need to attach 2 sets of fixed wood shutters to stucco and I don't want to drill through the front side of the shutter. Would you recommend these Z-clips for this application?
    Jordan J on Sep 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Should work fine unless you live where there are high winds.
what is the weight limit these will hold?
    patti a on Aug 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Dunno exactly but I would think the weight limit would be on however you chose to anchor it to the wall / item.
Would one of these clips be appropriate for hanging an 11" x 14" picture frame with glass?
    Barbara H on Oct 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The real limiting factor is the sheer strength of the screws attaching one half to the wall and the other half to the shelf, frame, etc Brackets them selves can probably support a hundred pounds each.
