Woodworking Experience:
A great replacement for my piece.
The inset finally took care of an empty space in a nice crystal. The old clock stopped functioning and I didn’t want to dispose of the crystal.

This was in a redwood burl clock given by my folks to my husband and me at our wedding in 1989, and the clock has quit working. I'm tickled to find the exact clock to replace the broken one.

Where are these lovely clock faces made please?
Judy S on Feb 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: China, where else.
I have a clock that is mounted in a 1/4" thick acrylic stand that was an anniversary gift. The clock movement has died. The opening in the 1/4" thick acrylic is 3 3/16" and the clock movement mounts from the front and the the back cover is put in place from the rear and secured with 2 screws. Will this movement work in the 1/4" acrylic stand?
T H on Nov 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The diameter of the non-functional clock which fits the 1/4" thick acrylic stand & the diameter of the new clock works which fit into the stand must be the same for a fit from old to new. If the diameter on the new clock works that fits thru the stand is smaller than the opening in the acrylic, the new clock could be shimmed up with masking tape to equal the diameter of the acrylic opening. If the diameter of the new clock is greater than the 3 3/16 acrylic stand opening, the acrylic stand opening needs to be enlarged to fit the clock diameter. One way would be to enlarge the opening in the acrylic with a rotary rasp on an electric drill. Either way, remember to have a small hole thru the center of the fitting on the acrylic stand so the clock movement can be pushed out when you need a new battery.
What size battery is required?
Phil D on Oct 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm pretty sure it's a "AA" battery.
