4' Tracks for Rockler Ceiling Track System

Use with our rolling trolleys and hooks to keep cords and hoses off the floor and out of the way, spraying cabinet doors and more!

These 4' track sections form the foundation of the Rockler Ceiling Track System. Paired with the appropriate rolling trolleys and hooks (sold separately), they keep your cords and hoses off the ground, and away from benchtop corners that would otherwise catch on them and interfere with your work. Suspending cords and hoses off the ground also results in less wear and tear on your equipment. Also great for hanging tools and utility lights, spraying cabinet doors and more. Do not attempt to use any hanging accessories on the Ceiling Track without Ceiling Track Stops (#58879, sold separately) secured at both ends. Made of durable PVC.

They should have provided better quality screws.
It's thick walled PVC BUT, and this is the big BUTT that is killing me at this exact moment, the screws they provide are complete crap...

There are no predrilled holes, and that's a trade-off between flexibility and ease of installation. I drilled out some holes just big enough for the 'lag" bolts to pass through. Then I positioned it on my ceiling and marked through the holes I'd drilled with a sharpie. -so far, so good. I drilled a pilot hole in each spot, just like you should for such lag bolts... Used my Kobalt brushless battery powered screw gun with a socket driver to drive in the bolts snapping 2 out of 3 before they even bottomed out to hold the track securely.

I'm going to THD tomorrow to get some proper lag bolts...

If this had quality lag bolts/screws, whatever, I'd give it more stars...

Can the tracks be spliced to lengthen them?
Picksix on Sep 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not so much "spliced" but can be butted end to end. You really have to make sure they align perfectly or the rollers of whatever you put in the track will not transition from one track to another. It would be nice if Rockler would provide some type of joiner to put 2 tracks together. Are you listening Rockler?
Can the hooks hold bicycles?
william s on Aug 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would say yes as the hooks are pretty good size however i would probably use some straps or something if i was going to hang them on this track so they would be lower because these tracks are designed for mounting on the ceiling joists and that is where i put the track I bought If you wanted to hang more than one bike by just one wheel per bike i would suggest getting the open j hooks

Dorald K on Aug 14, 2018
