These splinter guards attach to the right side of your TS 55 REQ saw, providing a zero-clearance chip-breaker on the right side of the saw kerf. When used with the Guide Rail, that means clean, chip-free cuts on the off-cut as well as the keeper. Unlike its predecessor, this guard sits flush with the saw housing, allowing you to cut within 1/2'' of obstacles. It also lets you see your scribe lines more easily. Because the splinter guard is flat, it need not be removed when making bevel cuts. Includes 5 splinter guards.
