Allwood Two Ply Veneer-New! 24 Inch x 32 Inch
Allwood Two Ply Veneer-New! 24 Inch x 32 Inch

Our premium two ply veneers are now available in convenient 24" x 32" x 1/29'' thick. These 32" lengths are great for doors, face frames, and end panels on vanities as well as on standard base cabinets with a toe space. They come in White Ash, White Birch, Cherry, Maple, Honduran Mahogany, Red Oak, Walnut and White Oak. These two-ply veneers couple premium-grade face veneers with a second ply of the same or similar species for superior flexibility and the rich look of solid wood without the "black line." A bit thicker than many veneers, these have a more luxurious appearance, no telegraphing and checking, and are very easy to work with. They are pre-sanded, so you can apply and finish with minimal clean-up.

Features:

  • Unfinished real wood

Beautiful piece of mahogany veneer
Veneer arrived sooner than expected in great condition. Currently using it to update an old side table that had been damaged. Extremely pleased with the veneer product.

Happy customer
This is my first try buying and installing veneer. My side table had water parks that could not be removed so I purchased a small sheet from Allwood and easily applied it to my table. The quality of the product was excellent. I also was happy that the company provided smaller sheets than other companies and this allowed me to save money.

Material damaged.
When I received it package was in good condition but the veneer was crushed in the center of the roll. When I unrolled it was split where it was crushed but was able to salvage enough for my project. Nice product but more care should be taken during packaging for shipment.

Good product and good service
The veneer is of excellent quality. The first one sent to me was damaged by some gorilla during shipment and after sending them pictures of the damaged veneer and box they quickly sent me a replacement. They are a great company to deal with!

Oak veneer
Good thickness and size of veneer was very adequate for small project. This was my first veneering project. and all went well with the trimming of veneer after applying to the small side table..Recommend using a sharp, fixed blade knife.

I installed this on a curved rocker seat using spray contact adhesive. The edges were very easy to trim, and it finished very well.

Worked to match cabnet
I had to match a refinished cabnet on an end where the cabnet next to it had been removed. It took a while to match the stain, but it is hard to tell that it was repaired now. Took about 1 & 1/2 hours to figure out how to cut, apply adhecive and install the veneer.

really liked it
Used to resurface the pulpit at Church -It was the first time I used a veneer. It could not have been easier. I cut it to size and used wood glue and put a weight on it for 24h. After some polyurethane it looks great. I certainly would recommend it

can I use this to cover a textured surface on my bathroom vanity doors? Also what tool will I have to use to cut the size/shape I need?
Mary S on Feb 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You would have to remove the texture before applying this. It will not stick to uneven surface well. Usually when you do cabnets, you buy new doors and use veneer on the cabinet faces.
What is the smallest diameter you can bend?
A shopper on Aug 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I don't have remnant left to test, but once finished you should be OK at ~2 to 2 1/2 inches.
Which direction does the grain run?
Gary C on Apr 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It is vertical on one side and horizontal on the other. I used the vertical.
What is the best adhesive to use to apply the veneer ?
A shopper on May 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I used contact cement recently with good results. After the contact cement dried sufficiently I placed several slats on the furniture piece, carefully placed the veneer in place over the slats, then starting in the center I removed the slats one by one in both directions and pressed the veneer down as I removed the slats. I didn't have any visible bubbles, but rolled the veneer down to be sure. I then trimmed the edges and had a perfect job. This was my first veneer job and was more than pleased with the product, especially the thickness.

Can you sand and stain the veneer
Denny S on Mar 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, It has not finish on it. I sanded lightly with 220, stained, and Poly Urathened it.
Can you paint it ? If so which ones.
Jerri E on Apr 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I used it to resurface some parquet flooring which I stained and finished with oil based poly and had no problems. I would think if it was well adhered you could finish it however you liked. I would give it ample time for adhesive to cure before coating
I see it looks like real wood does it have the wood feel? Does it come pre stained or would I have to stain it
John E on Feb 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes it feels like real wood. I ordered walnut, it looked like real walnut. cut to fit applied to project and finished with a satin poly.
HI my contractor used particle board at the top of my stairs. I have absolutely no wiggle room to meet code. I almost have to use veneer to cover it up. My problem is the bumpiness of the particle board. If I smooth it out with wood putty will I be able to glue the veneer to that? Thank you
Karla H on Jun 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Contact cement would adhere to wood putty. But veneer may not hold up well on a floor. Do you have at least enough room for 1/4" plywood?
I'm thinking of facing my bass guitar with veneer. What adhesive should I use? I will stain and seal it with hand rubbed varnish.
justme on Mar 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I do marquetry and have veneered my kitchen cabinets. I have used contact cement (not water based) successfully, I do not have a vacuum press which is the preferred way to glue veneer in marquetry,
