With its smaller profile, the FP5 featherboard brings superior performance to jobsite saws, contractor saws and other compact, portable table saws. BOW FeatherPRO featherboards use a modular EVA Feather insert with an innovative ''living hinge'' profile. When the material is forced backward, the spaces between the feathers close up and the tips are compressed against your workpiece with significant force. This results in up to 5X greater resistance to kickback than traditional featherboards. In addition the soft EVA Feather offers a smooth, firm controlled feed, and helps to absorb vibration and prevent marring. If your cutters ever accidentally contact the EVA Feather, they won't shatter or splinter, and the modular feathers are easily replaced if damaged. They are also reversible for use on the left or right.
