Great tool
I previously could never get my card scraper sharp and it just sat in a drawer. 10 minutes with this and I was amazed. Plenty of videos on YouTube on how to sharpen. I like the Katz Moses one. Worked great.

Woodworking Experience:
Great Burnisher
If you use card scrapers this is a must. When properly used, it will put the proper hook on the scraper.

This was exactly what I needed to complete a job of stripping finish from the teak stern rail of a boat. Using a sharpened card scraper saved me untold sandpaper and dust!

This burnisher works well and works better than my old HHS drill bit by far! If your one of the guys that like to roll your burnisher to help get a smooter tooth on those harden edges this is the tool to use!

Woodworking Experience:
Have used screwdriver shaft for burnishing my cabinet scrapers with fair results but this tool must be much harder because it puts a really workable scraping edge on my cabinet scrapers. Works as intended. Nothing like having the right tool for a specific task.

Great for cabinet scraper sharpening
I tried using a screw driver on my cabinet scrapers which sort of worked but this burnisher even though expensive worked much much better. Good investment.

is it hard enough to sharpen a extra hard lee valley scraper at rc48-52 hardness?
steve r on Dec 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Most burnishers are R/C 62+ which is hard enough to form a burr on R/C 52 material. A scraper needs to be sharpened prior to forming a burr so that you are rolling a thinner piece of material. I would suggest watching You Tube videos. There a several out there that explain this quite well.
how does one use burnisher properly?
A shopper on Apr 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have found it best to go to you tube. There are many helpful videos. I used the wood whisper (TWW). There are many other helpful sights as well
Is this burnisher good for Garlick cabinet scrapers?
ARLENE S on Aug 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: As far as I know it is meant to add the slight burr needed to properly use a cabinet scraper. Now if the scraper you refer to is of a non-common metal, that might be the only reason it would not work. So basically, yes it will work fine in my opinion.
