It works as advertised
It was a Christmas Present from my wife. I was hoping for a standard bevel gauge, but this was way better, with features I hadn't thought of.

Use in combination with chop saw and house siding to get angles for cutting acute angled pieces. One of our crew borrows it constantly.

I wish when I was younger they had electronic instruments like these. This is very nice and you can get the reverse angle by pushing a button. I have several different layout tools and they all take the same battery. works very good.

I needed a practical way to transfer or set angles, such as tilt of bandsaw table, table saw, etc. This looks like just the right tool.

I needed a bevel gauge anyway, and this one has a digital readout.

Hi does this gauge come with a calibration certificate?
Ricardo on Apr 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not that I remember. I do not have one
I'm looking for something that will give me the degree of the total angle, but will give me 1/2 of the angle degree for cutting miters on trim work. I realise I could divide the total angle in half, but, for something weird like 37. 7 degrees sounds like a pain. Does this give you half of the angle? which is what your miter box setting would have to be.
James K on Dec 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, this will not give you the miter saw angle setting. If you want a device to automatically give you the angle to set your miter saw to for a given corner angle, try the Starrett 505P-7 Miter Saw Protractor which will do exactly that. It is not digital, but it does the job want.
