Dust Port for Drill Press Fence

Narrow profile minimizes interference with the drill press column, saving up to 3" of throat depth over typical dust ports.
Item #
92% of 100

This dust port fitting is designed with a very slim profile that minimizes interference with the drill press column. It allows the fence to get as close as possible to the column, meaning you can enjoy up to 3'' more of the total throat depth of your drill press when compared with using a typical dust port. The port is also angled upwards so that the hose does not catch on the table edge and obstruct movement of the fence along the table top. The hole pattern is the same as our older drill press fence dust port, so users of the older model can upgrade without need for modifications. It is also an identical replacement for the one included with our Drill Press Fence (#53648, sold separately).

Woodworking Experience:
very good dust port
easy to install and does exactly what I thought it would do. very good price. the only thing I would change is the depth. it pushes the fence too far forward.

Works extremely well
I made a thickness sander jig for my drill press and it creates massive amounts of dust. Mounting this port on the back of the jig captures almost all of it

Worked For Drill Press Table
Surprisingly, the most important feature was that the hose from a 2 1/2" shopvac mated perfectly with this. The dust port fitting was attached to an adjustable fence on a drill press table. With the placement and angle of the outlet, it works great without interfering in the operation of the drill press. Tons of vacuum power. This ended up being a very effective solution.

Nice Addition
Nice addition to a custom drill press fence. This sucks the dirt right up. The only complaint I have is that I cover up the dust port when using thicker stock like a 2x4, but that is a very small inconvenience.

Will this device fit Rocker router table fence?
Bruce R on Aug 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Not really, Rocker offers a specific durt port designed to fit a Rockler table fence perfectly. This port was designed to mount on drill presses or other items requiring dust control. It's mounting slots are wider and lower than the router table fence
I acquired a Rockler drill press table #22810. Will this dust port fit on the fence that came with this table?
John K on May 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The fence fits fine, but it does push the fence 3/4" towards the operator which reduces the work surface area slightly. I can live with that.
What type and size screws are used to attach this to a homemade drill press fence? I made the fence out of 3/4in birch ply
Christian E on Aug 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I used 1/2 inch long number 8 pan head screw
Can you tell me what the height and width of this, where it attaches to the fence?
Paul B on Jan 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Over all width, including anchor pints, is 9 3/8" dust collection area is 5"WX1 1/2 " high.
I attached it at the center of my home mad fence. I designed it so that I could raise and lower from flat on table to the top of the fence (3 1/2") it to accommodate the thickness of the material that I will be drilling .
