Designed for use in hard woods, E-Z Knife Threaded Inserts are ideal for use wherever assembly or disassembly could lead to thread erosion or stripping. Proprietary external "knife" threads slice into wood for superior holding power. After the correct pilot hole size is drilled (see Technical Documents), these are easy to install with a large flat blade screwdriverā€”no other special tools are required. They're perfect for applications ranging from furniture to cabinetry to tap handles. Not recommended for use in plywood.
