Solid wall threaded inserts repair and reinforce threaded holes in soft metals, like aluminum, cast iron or magnesium. Designed with standard external threads, these inserts install without the need for a special tap or installation tool. Simply drill out the damaged threads, re-tap the hole, and thread in the insert like an ordinary fastener. Preapplied adhesive on the external threads activates upon installation and secures the insert in the hole. Thin Wall design is ideal for applications where hole size is an issue.
