The ingenious Festool BHS 60 bit holder has a locking collar that securely holds a wide variety of 1/4'' hex shank bits. The holder is a welcome solution to the problem of incompatibility between various proprietary 1/4'' hex shanks. Inserting bits is an easy one-handed process, just push it in and it clicks into place. To release, slide the collar toward the bit. In addition to the locking collar, it's also magnetic, which means it securely holds the shorter 1'' insert bits, and it also holds onto ferrous screws. Approximately 2-3/8'' long.
