The Festool 577288 Splinter guard is placed over the sight window of TS 60 series Tracks Saws to facilitate splinter-free cuts on the right side of the blade. When the machine is running, a zero-clearance cut is made in the inserted splinter guard so that it adapts to fit the saw blade exactly. The splinter guard can be moved up or down, making it suitable for cuts with or without a guide rail.
