Gave my daughter's hope chest an older look
We wanted something a little bit rustic for hinges on my Daughter's 4H project solid walnut hope chest. After looking at dozens of different types and sizes of hinges we decided on these and they look very good on this chest.

Never got a real good pic of the back, but this only shows 3 of the 4 hinges.

I need handle to match the iron hammered look hinges?
Sharon J on Jan 3, 2017
Do these need to be mortised?
John T on Oct 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Not in My application, we used them on flush mounted cabinet doors and wanted the rustic look of a forged hinge on built in book shelves. More than fit our expectations, and sturdy enough to handle large hardwood frames with inset glass.
Could I use these for a large box lid as long as I pair them with a lid support system?
Lumberjacked on Dec 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I think it will depend on the size/weight of your lid, as they aren't that burly. The lid supports will no doubt help, but I might opt for something more manly (are we still allowed to say that?) if your lid is heavy and frequently opened.
How long are the screws?
Teri K on Jan 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I used mine on 3/4 stock with no problems, hope that helps.
Is there a picture of them m a white cabinet? I want it to match my black satin finish draw hooks? Or is it more of matte black finish which is too dark ?
