Produce perfect-fitting beaded stile and rail doors from 5/8" to 1-1/4" thick! Adjustable shims enable a tight fit when using plywood as thin as 7/32" (5.5mm), and also allow use with thick panels. To produce the front of a longer tenon profile for blind tenons, through tenons or bridle joints, remove the top portion of the cutter (including bearing and spindle). High-density carbide composition and Perma-Shield coating lengthen bit life and protect against heat and pitch buildup. 1/2" shanks.

  • Create extended tenons for extra door joint strength (patented solution) - Top portion of cutter, including bearing and spindle, is removed to produce the front of the long tenon profile.
  • Choose from a variety of material thicknesses (5/8" to 1-1/4").
  • Adjustable shims adjust panel groove down to 7/32" (5.5mm) and up to 3/8" (9.5mm) thick, ideal for plywood panels.
  • Unique cutter geometry to eliminate tear-out.
  • TiCo™ Hi-Density Carbide to maximize bit life and material finish.
  • Perma-SHIELD® coating reduces heat & pitch build-up from rust.

so far so good on new cabinetry
Just started a trial cabinet project to prep for new cabinets in our kitchen. Created 3 flat panel frames to far and they turned out good. Some work to adjust the bit heights exactly where I wanted them but it worked out well. No problem with the bits cutting ability.

So far I have just used this to make a pair of raised panel cabinet doors but they performed flawlessly. Will be using this on some sinker cypress for a gun cabinet and making some glass doors with the extra cutter . Very positive experience with these bits. Thanks Freud and Rockler!

The previous review is somewhat accurate,...
The previous review is somewhat accurate, but the manufacturers of wood products are literally "shaving" products to save money. If you use space balls there are no rattles. I highly recommend this set for your rail and stile projects. If making glass doors as well get the glass door kit. it makes life much easier.

I'm not sure what the previous poster meant by "somewhat correct", Ben IS correct. I too was a little disappointed by the fact I could not get a PERFECT fit using this set and the 5.2mm plywood panels that seem to be the norm these days. The solution would have been painfully simple for Freud as well..thinner bearing and allow me to shim up, which is the intended purpose and main selling point, too bad. A Why would you use spaceballs with thin ply or MDF core panels? BEven if you prevent "rattling" you still would have unsightly gaps. This set is the best i've seen otherwise, meaning for thicker than 5.6 mm stock

I rate this poor simply because I bought it on the premise that I could get rattle free doors using plywood panels. Well guess what, most plywood these days is 5.2mm and this set only goes down to 5.6mm. Result, panel still rattles. If you use thicker stock, product performs well. Just be aware.
