Leather Handles
Nice handles, had them on an outdoor box to store patio cushions over the winter last year, and they've held up pretty well. But now I'm taking them off and re-installing on an heirloom tool chest I'm making. My only concern is chest is fairly heavy, 14" high, 16 1/2" deep, 29 1/2" long and made with hard maple and beech and alder. Fortunately, I don't plan to move it around much...we'll see.

Nice!
I'm building a carrying case/presentation case for my custom built rifle and this is perfect. The oak case and rifle are heavy and this handle, besides looking good on the case, is padded so it's real easy on the hand when carrying the case. I love that it bolts securely to the case, instead of just using screws, and the bolts are hidden for a nice smooth appearance. I've got a walnut machinist chest in the works and I'll use this handle on that, too.

Although this item is expensive, the quality is excellent and adds a nice finish to the custom tool boxes I make for family members. It is strong and elegant at the same time.

Excellent quality. While I would have prefered that the handle be a bit smaller, overall I am very pleased.
I built this box for our oldest son's watercolor supplies and used your leather handle.
A last minute Christmas present as we wanted to give him something for the supplies.

Excellent Leather Handle
Excellent Leather Handle with nice brass hardware. For all of those who are concerned about the screw length. The screw is an undersized 8-32. The major diameter for an 8-32 should be around .164 in. The screw measured around .150 in. If you want to use a longer screw like I did, chase the 8-32 threaded hole with a standard 8-32 tap and your done.

Best handles for wood cases
Genuine Leather Handles are a must for wooden cases! These handles are the best quality, priced reasonable, and a breeze to install. The padded handle is easy on the hand and supports well my hand made rifle cases that weigh up to 50 pounds. I always keep a few in stock and recommend them highly to any woodworkers wanting to complete a wooden case with a great finishing touch!

My violin case required a new...
My violin case required a new handle to replace the original broken plastic mount. The size was a perfect twin to the old handle. I reused the original mounting screws without any trouble. I was pleased to save my case and now the plastic was gone forever.

It appears to be relatively comfortable to use while also being adaptable to various period works from the mid-19th century onwards.

What is the max weight they can carry?
Glen K on Apr 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The max weight these will carry is probably limited more by the structure they are attached to than the handle itself. That said, the pin/bracket interface would be the weakest point of the handle itself.
Is this an appropriate replacement for an Atlas briefcase? It looks like what is there, but it needs to be exact.
