Great, original look to these wood wheels!
My wife had a family heirloom that had wooden roller wheels on it. I replaced them with beige colored plastic wheels but they looked out of place on this secretary. Having come across these in the Rockler magazine by accident I jumped at the chance to update. They look and work perfectly!

I am currently in the process of restoring my great-grandfathers table from his hunting cabin. The table was missing all of the casters, therefore, to get the proper height for the table, I needed to replace them. These will tie in nicely with the table, and the weight that they support is also a plus.

MeliFla on Feb 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure how much weight they would hold. I replaced them on a five drawer dresser with attached mirror.
$9.99 for pack of four, or for each?
Wold be suitable for oak office chair?
Diameter of wheel?
Frank R on Jan 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Price is for 4 each. One pack of 4.
I redid an old desk and made it into a bathroom vanity and had the wheels taken off (and they are now gone). It now has a very heavy quartz top with undermount sink. I would like to raise the vanity a few inches and thought adding these castors like it originally had on it would make it the right height but was wondering if it could withstand the weight (about 150 lbs) of the quartz top. Any ideas?
Christine B on Sep 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Instead adding furniture casters, I would consider adding turned wood bun feet. Bun feet are available in many shapes and sizes, and would add more elegance and beauty to your restored bathroom vanity.
Do these accept a ½" female leg?
Justin S on Dec 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: you have to drill a 3/8 inch hole for them so you would not have much wood left.
When replacing one should I pull the stem out and leave the old sleeve, or replace both stem/sleeve?
chrisc on Nov 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The last time I used these wheels I used the old Sleeves. They were in good shape so why go to the hassle of pulling the old ones out and installing the new ones. If the old sleeves are damaged and won't hold the new wheels then I would certainly install the new sleeves.
What size drill bit needed to drill for the sleeve?
Tigermom on Mar 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This was useful information that I received from Rockler that made installation easy. The stem of the caster is 1 1/2" long so I would make your depth a bit more than that.
The with of the outside of the tube portion of the sleeve is 23/64". You could use a bit that size for a snug fit or a 3/8" bit to allow for seasonal changes in the wood. The base of the sleeve is 3/4"
How high off the floor will this casters raise the piece of furniture?
Kathy R on May 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 1 1/2" off the floor.
What weight can each caster hold?
Leslie B on Jan 22, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I use these frequently on case goods and small chairs. They are not heavy duty but work fine in the general usage of those pieces. I prefer glides on chairs.
What type of surfaces are these casters good to use on? I would like to use them for furniture that is going over hardwood.
Jamie S on Aug 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I Used the casters on an beautiful antique chair that I reupholsteted and donated to a benefit. The chair was set on a hardwood floor and sat in by many prospective buyers and the casters were awesome
Will these casters withstand the weight of a very heavy solid wood hutch?
Jessica A on May 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely I bought them for an antique highboy dresser it was about 6 and a 1/2 feet tall very heavy great replacement for antique casters
Would these work on a vintage vanity?
Lori K on Nov 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: That was exactly the reason I bought them, I was restoring an old vanity. The original casters were frozen solid and were flat from being pushed around without rolling. Couldn't believe I found a match so easily!
im trying to find something for my dining chairs to raise them and its looking like casters are one of my only options that look ok and was wondering if the legs are 1 inch diameter all around would these work ok size wise?
katie p on Oct 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn't recommend them for your application they work great for more stationary furniture, I've used them on multiple projects. I wouldn't think that they would hold up well with heavy use
If casters don't swivel, which way is large wheel facing?
MICHELLE HALL on Apr 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Try a little lithium grease to loosen the swivel. It is a lot less messy than WD40.

Carrie on May 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Need larger wheels to get more height. Stem length goes inside of leg.

Would these casters work well on a draw leaf dining table?
Marcella on May 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I believe so. I used them on a vintage office chair which isn't very heavy.
