Large HomeRight Spray Shelter

This collapsible spray shelter from HomeRight helps to reduce overspray drift that would otherwise float away and settle on grass, plants or valuable items in your garage or shed. In addition, the roof and walls help to keep dust from settling on your freshly finished pieces. Lightweight and easy-to-assemble, it can be pitched in just minutes, easily moved around, and it collapses to a compact package for storage. A mesh screen over the entrance helps to protect freshly finished projects from wind, bugs, leaves and other airborne debris, and can be tied out of the way when not needed. Use it in your yard, driveway, garage or shed without worries. Ideal for spraying small- to medium-sized pieces with spray paint cans or paint sprayers.

Note: Drop cloth not included (shelter is bottomless). Recommended drop cloth size is 12' by 15'.

I got the large spray shelter. At first I thought it was too big. Once I got it setup on my patio over a picnic table, it was just right.

A good/great product
I put it up early before time needed to test it during rain. Great! But do not use if snow in view as will take the temt down. I did this; ; that said, I pushed the snow off and the tent came up right and shapely, no injury to bend/flex rods

HomeRight Spray Shelter
I live on the Texas coast where it is windy. The tent worked very well keeping bugs and wind driven sand off of my projects after finishing. That is all I was looking for in this product and I got it. It is well made and stores very well. I recommend it.

Large Homeright Spray Shelter
I ran out of good weather for outdoor painting and this was exactly what I needed to complete my project. Secure any overhead fans and HVAC system before spraying. Wear proper mask. Still have the smell but I was pleasantly surprised to find no paint overspray anywhere in my shop.

HUGE shelter for the money
I bought this for the fantastic black Friday price, yes, for a spray shelter. It's so nice though that I may save it for a camping shelter - a couple of chairs will fit beautifully inside!

This is the next best thing to having a finish spray room for my wood shop, even though it will not be used everyday I won't be tying up a separate room just for finishing.

Built 12 new outdoor wood shutters and need to prime (1 coat) and paint (2)—and need to do this outside. I've brush painted in the past and decided spraying was the way to go this time. Bought this to help assure that paint stays off of other things, and other things stay off the paint.

Is the cover waterproof? If spraying outside and it begins raining, will it keep the rain or mist off of the finish?
Santa on Feb 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you use a plastic dropcloth to cover the entrance, paper clip clasp all around and leave sufficient overlap to double back and secure with paper clip clasps as well, keeps wind from flapping the cloth...done deal...works!
Are there any assembly instructions? Mine did not have anything in the box.
Greg F on Jun 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Very basic instructions sewn into the bag. More helpful to study picture of finished product
Does build up of overspray eventually make it too stiff to fold and store in its bag?
Joe R on Mar 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have painted many pieces in my spray tent and have not had that problem.
Would there be a way to hook a shop vac hose or fan system to draw out the over spray and fumes? Rick
Rick G on May 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The shelter isn't really big enough to be fully enclosed in with your project so there should be plenty of ventilation. This shelter helps contain the over spray and keeps you project out of direct sunlight and helps with wind protection.
Does this have any UV protection?
Chris on Jul 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have no idea. The only way to answer is to measure spectral energy distribution inside and outside of tent and compare the two to determine whether it selectively absorbs short-wavelength light. Short-wave cutoff filters are very expensive and I very much doubt that this shell acts like that. Just my guess.
Is shelter fabric washable?
Michael F on Feb 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You could sponge off dirt but I wouldn't try to wash off spray pain. My use for the shelter was to prevent overspray and it worked perfectly. A small lightweight table was used inside to support the artwork being done. The table also prevented the shelter from blowing around but if you have hard winds you need to secure it down with the ties and stakes. It's a really good solution for spraying paint or glaze on ceramic ware.
Would this work well to catch dust behind my miter saw? I know I would need to sweep the ground eventually.
R O on May 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It’s the larger version..... I would think the smaller one would work better
What are the overall dimensions of this product? HxWxL
Johnny on Nov 23, 2018

•Assembled Width: 108'' at bottom; 92'' at top
•Assembled Height: 66.5''
Is it possible to secure the unit to a driveway, etc. to prevent it from blowing over with light wind? NOT using stakes?
Paul J D on Jan 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Secure with cord and concrete blocks on driveway and other hard surfaces.
Does buildup on the fabric cause you to replace it periodically -- some stains will stay pretty sticky for a long time and cause it to stick when folded?
Joseph L on Jun 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It probably would if put away right after but Iif leave it up until the painted piece drys and haven't had this problem. Made from Nylon similar to a camping tent
