The first iGaging digital angle protractor would not turn on. The replacement is wonderful. Ideal for tool alignment and set up. both units had dead batteries when they arrived. I recommend shipping without the batteries installed or at least with a non conductive sticker attached to the battery to prevent a dead battery or damage to the protractor.

Great Protractor
This digital protractor is much better than I thought that it would be. Very accurate, at least for woodworking.

Good tool for setting up miter saw
I wanted to check my miter saw accuracy, after reading the reviews I decided to give this tool a try and I have not be a bit disappointed. It is a big help when setting angle for segmented bowls and I found my miter saw angle scale needs some adjusting. This tool is money well spent!

Very good operation, great accuracy
This protractor is a little on the pricey side, but worth it if you want accurate and repeatable measurements with large geometries. I needed a good protractor for a large odd shaped table. I transferred the design to build perfectly with this protractor. The digital gauge really is accurate to 1/10 degree.

Wonderfully Accurate Tool
Whether doing bevel cuts and aligning saw blades, I finally have a tool that is accurate and easy to use. I have recommended this accessory to several of my woodworking friends.

I'd do it all over again (and have)
This is my second one. If I didn't think it was a good tool, I would not have bought another one. It isn't a tool that I use all the time (I am a remodeling contractor doing a fair amount of woodworking) but when you need to know the proper angle, this is the tool to have.

bought this to get accurate angles for crown moulding

Immeasurably (pun intended) valuable for cutting baseboard & crown molding on walls that weren't square and plumb to begin with, when they were put up over thirty years ago... Unfortunately, my previous iGaging digital protractor up and failed after only two years and I'm smack in the middle of a project, so need to replace it. Hopefully, this replacement will last longer than two years - but at least it's on sale, this time.

I thought it would be good to have when working with angles, but I'm really not satisfied at all with it... Seems to me that the measurements on the two extensions should match up. Mine is about 1/2 inch off!

BUT, the local Rockler store exchanged it for me. Now that's great service.

Does it remember the zero position after you turn it off? Or do you have to zero it every time?
BRANDON T on Sep 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: it will hold the zero position if the protractor is "locked" when turned off. Since it only takes seconds to re-zero i automatically do that when I use it again.
can this be used in water
shree on Feb 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello, I would not recommend using this digital angle protractor under water. However, there are digital angle protractors on the market that are waterproof. Search the internet, using key word, "waterproof digital angle protractors."

Good Luck.
